New fish order has arrived! Reminder we will be closed February 8th for the swap in Evansville, which also means anyone looking for special order fish, this is your time. Just have all orders placed before or by February 3rd.

Please excuse the mess, we have started fixing, finishing, and adding new tank systems. With the swap and lots of projects, we do not have a set time frame, but we have these projects in the works, installing a Betta wall, aquatic plants only tanks, Glo fish tanks, more display tanks, and will at some point start carrying feeder insects on a regular basis. All updates will be posted here so stayed tuned!

We will be closed Saturday February 8th, we will have a couple tables set up at the fish swap in Evansville. I will post the flyer in the post. Anyone that may be attending the swap and would like to place a special order, the deadline for those orders are Monday February 3rd by noon. Fish that tend to be harder to find, you may want to place the order for those fish as soon as possible to give us time to find them for you.

After tweaking our homemade food recipe, it turned out a bit darker than the first batch, but each tank we put it in the fish and shrimp just surrounded it! The first batch the pleco and shrimp loved, but this batch so far, every fish in the tank is eating on it. We do have free samples for those that would like to try it. Next week we will have enough made to start selling for those that may be interested. All I ask of those that take home free samples is to give us feedback on how well your fish enjoyed it. Pictures are welcome showing us if they loved it or not. I’ll make a sales post next week and all feedback and pictures can be left in the comments. We will be open today at normal time. I know getting out to buy fish isn't a priority, however, for those that do decide to come see us, I did hand shovel 2 parking spots today and plan to do some more when I get to the shop. Sometimes I do more than play with fish tanks all day lol. Be safe and stay warm!

Me and my wife have started dabbling in making our own version of homemade repashy. We still have some tweaking to do, but our first batch was a hit, especially with the plecos and shrimp. We have had a handful of customers try some out in their tanks and have had good reviews so far. We have been considering making it and selling it if we received enough interest in it. So, if it's something you might be interested in just let me know and I'll update this when we have a product we are happy with.

Attention, that have been calling and asking about bugs and different types of feeders for reptiles and snakes. We do not carry those things as regular inventory items at the moment, however, we can special order most things. We get orders in on Wednesday’s; however, we do not get orders in every week. We advise those that would like to preorder these items to plan ahead. When we do place orders, the orders need to be in on Monday’s by 1pm. Small live feeder mice are the only thing we carry regularly. If we get enough people preordering, then we have considered making these items readily available rather than special order only. We have been having on and off issues with our Facebook messenger. Some days it will let us use it and others it will not. When I'm at the shop it will let me use the computer most days to check it, but not with my phone when I'm not at the shop. I promise I am not intentionally ignoring anyone, today is one of those days it won't let me use the computer either. I have contacted Facebook and have been waiting for a response. Thank you for understanding, hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

Some of you have had the opportunity to meet our little guy Ryker, which just had his 5th birthday December 1st. Well, this is a little insight into why Riley Children’s Hospital and The Ronald McDonald house is so important to us. It all started with my wife getting an ambulance ride on Thanksgiving night 2019 to Riley in Indianapolis, the first of many nights from home and our girls. Ryker was born premature about 2 months early with Arthrogryposis, Symbrachydactyly, and obstruction of the bowel. He had 5 blockages in his intestine, which required surgery at 3 days old. Ryker couldn’t eat for months while waiting for his intestine to heal and function properly, which was the cause of us being there at the hospital with him from Thanksgiving night until February 26th 2020. For 81 days, they fed us, gave us a place to stay, provided gas cards to visit our girls, provided Christmas presents for our kids. We had friends and family bring us snacks and help with bills since we were unable to work for 3 months.

Ryker wasn’t expected to ever walk, we were told there was a high chance he would be wheelchair bound. Yet as I type this, I’m here at the shop telling him for the 100th time to stop running. The time we spent at Riley and Ronald McDonald is something I never want to repeat and for us it was a walk in the park compared to what some families endure. Yes, Ryker was in the NICU, but we never feared we wouldn’t be taking him home at some point. The things we experienced while there, we will forever be grateful, and we will always do everything we can to give back. If it wasn’t for the people that donated, we would have had to leave our son for days or even weeks at a time. That reason alone is why we hold fundraisers for them so dear. So thank you for everyone that has the opportunity to help this cause.
