Hey everyone as the Holiday season gets busier and the weather gets colder, we wanted to remind our clients about the MyVetStore. Our online store allows you to order your pets basic needs and most medications from the comfort of home to be shipped directly to your door. Simply click the "online pharmacy" tab on our website home page to be directed to the VetStore to register your account. Or if you have our PetDesk app there is a link for the store listed under our Provider info panel! If you have any questions please feel free to post in the comments or call us at (812) 723- 2553.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!✨

Our angel tree is up and ready to help out pets in need. In previous years, our angel tree has helped over 15 clients each year cover medical costs for their pets. If you feel led to donate, stop by the clinic during business hours or talk to one of our receptionists over the phone. You can anonymously donate an amount of your choice and we will apply it to the account of someone needing a little extra help to cover medical expenses for their pet. You even get to take home a cute ornament as our thank you for donating!

Pet Costume Contest! Our yearly pet costume contest is open again! To enter please post a picture of your furry friends looking their best (or worst). Be sure to have the name on your account along with your pet's name listed so we know who to contact after judging. Our staff will vote on Friday Nov. 1st 12:30!

Attention Clients!
We have updated our phone hours but our working hours are still the same. We will open at 7:30 for appointment check in and hospital care but our phone lines will not turn on until 8:00 AM. This is to allow our front desk staff to be able to provide more focused individual attention while checking in our surgical appointments while the rest of our staff is caring for our hospitalized patients. Please feel free to leave a voice mail if needed before 8:00 AM or reach out via text or the PetDesk App!

We would like to highlight a special patient of ours and his (and his parents) hard work on his weight loss.

This is Mellow, a chocolate lab that came to us in February 2023 for being overweight, tired, losing hair, and just in general lethargic. At this time, he weighed 147 lbs. We did some thyroid testing, which came back positive for hypothyroid. This disease is actually pretty common in dogs and can make it difficult for them to loose weight. We also started him on a special diet called Satiety. This food allows them to eat a decent amount without having all the calories (think like eating 5 salads vs a small piece of double chocolate cake).

Mellow came in July of this year for his thyroid recheck and general exam and he has officially made it down to 99 lbs!

We are so proud of Mellow and his weight loss journey. If you have a dog you suspect may have thyroid issues, or one that can’t just get the weight off, talk with your vet. They may be able to help with food suggestions or testing.
