We had a f***l test done for Paul. He has coccidia and is on meds which he finds delicious.
His tumors seem to be growing quickly, but he is still in good spirits and has good mobility. Comparing then and now.

Dr Pence described it as a "firm, well adhered multilobulated mass on the right scapula and humerus".

Update on Elvis aka Ewok aka Ludo!!!
He had a couple of spontaneous falling eisodes but they stopped. Dr Pence examined him for ear infection, neurological issues, and overall health. He was not reactive to the testing stimuli
Dr Pence used.
In short, he may have simply had a high stress reaction to Carrot’s hormones at his foster home.
As of now, he has been scooped up by Kaysee, who very likely will love him forever. He will be monitored for any signs of trouble, and we will be updated on his bunnymoon with a tripod lop!

Our funds are depleted. Little Elvis aka Ludo will be examined for his falling episodes this week. An E.c. test will likely be administered after an ear infection is ruled out. We have 2 new buns that still need neuter. I don’t know if my paycheck will drop in time, but very thankful we do have care credit🙏🐰

Hello,

I just wanted to send some updates on Joon! She is doing great! She is such an easy bunny to care for, and she uses her litter box so well. Joon is very ladylike and elegant, and she has never once thumped! She binkies when she sees me and when it is her breakfast and dinner time (or when I refill her hay throughout the day). Joon also loves to lick you all over. She licks my mom and I all on our legs and feet; so sweet! The funniest thing that Joon did is when she jumped in the trash can while I was cleaning her litter box! I don’t know what prompted that. Although she can be shy with new people and large objects, she quickly comes out of her shell. She is the gentlest bunny I have fostered yet. I trust her so much, that she has complete free roam of the room day and night. She has never once chewed or destroyed anything.

I am working hard to find miss Joon a permanent home. She is such an easy bunny to care for she would be a great addition to a loving family.

Never support a breeder. Rescues are overflowing

With so many strays and so many babies, we thought it would be a great time to remind of the impact of buying rather than adopting from an ethical rescue.

The cycle is neverending and the rabbits are the ones who suffer every single time - always adopt, don’t shop.

Carrot got peeled😬 I decided to just cut him short so all of the matted fur could be removed. He’s a patient guy!
He will be scheduled for neuter soon.

Oh goody. Cajuns don’t keep well in the freezer. They’ll close all the bridges and nobody will be able to buy toilet paper. Lord, please insulate all of our friends in the path of this very unwelcome, unsouthern frostbiter!

BARNEY BLAST - It’s called a Barney Blast for how it looks on weather modeling. Frigid cold is coming straight from the North Pole down the Plains and to the Gulf Coast starting Monday. Be ready for freezing conditions next week that will likely bust pipes and create dangerous wind chills. More details as this event gets closer!

Oh Miles, I know you wanted your playcation with Gigi to last longer, but you shouldn’t have tinkled on her mamma’s sofa.
Crista Stiffler, how’s Gigi acting? I know she misses dominating him!

Rabbits are social beings, they need company, and space to leap and play. Here at the rescue, they don’t get much playtime. I work full time and come home and maintain over 20 rabbits. I rarely get helpers, so fosters are a real blessing when they come along!
They give the rabbits more interaction, and the ability to let their personalities blossom. A happy rabbit is an adoptable rabbit.
