ST MARY PARISH Alyssa who runs an animal rescue in St. Mary Parish, just picked up what appears to be a dumped pet bunny. Looks like a giant breed. No double chin, so it may be male. Possibly young female. More info as we get it.
The bun is super stressed out but extremely sweet, very healthy appearing, ears are very clean and no visible injuries.
If you are interested, please fill out an application and we will see about getting the bun and appointment at the vet.
I thank God for Maria Fomich who came help for several hours before she left with a foster cage.

Since Humper needs access to more calories, and Fat Boy Thumper has too many, I put a bowl of food inside a toy that only Humper can fit in!!
Thumper can hardly fit his fat head in there🤣
Humperdink has an exam and tooth trim next week until we can raise enough money to remove his 4 crooked teeth. Thumper’s name will be changed to Fezzik (or Fuzzik😋)

Passing through the area tonight, and 4 of the remaining bunnies were seen briefly. 5 were caught last night and one more this morning. One seems to be a good bit smaller than the others.

Checkers is looking for his treats since the door is open. He was rescued in Metairie.
Checkers’ eye is clearing up and the fur is growing back. He still has to be neutered but he will be a fun house bunny!
