📣 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. 📣

We are still in need of more dedicated and consistent volunteers to help care for the dogs at the rescue. We are down to only two volunteers three times a week, so the projects to improve the property have come to a halt. The daily feed and water is handled, so we ask volunteers to help with cleaning kennels, socializing dogs, giving out treats or toys, and working on basic manners.

We are also looking for one or two volunteers that are specifically good with construction. Many of the projects or repairs that need to be done can be handled easily, but we need the extra hands to do that. If you have a few hours to spare, we can use your expertise!

📣 Calling all pit lovers

We have a special boy ready for a home. Henry came to us after being found as a stray and on the EU list at the Fort Worth Shelter. There are dogs that come through that just put a big smile on your face and he is certainly one of them. This happy camper loves to play with everyone and is ready for adventures. Oreo has been waiting for a home for a long time now and hopes someone will come see her soon. She is an estimated 1.5 year old mixed breed ready for a family. 🚧 WORK DAY 3/1 🚧

With the gorgeous temperatures finally here, Spring cleaning is in full swing. We will be hosting a work day Saturday 3/1 to help get rid of the winter mess. We would love to have extra volunteers from 11-3 to help organize and clean up. We have some tents we want to put up as well as some fencing, so strong arms will be welcome. Needing some animal love?

Well, we have plenty to give. We are looking for some dedicated volunteers that are willing to help with caring for the dogs and cats here at the rescue. Dogs and cats need to be fed, watered, and have their kennels cleaned on a daily basis. We have dogs divided into containers, so it would be 8-12 dogs. Simply 30-45 minutes would get the job done and then the dogs could have time to play. We would love to have 3-4 people Monday- Saturday to help. If anyone is looking to volunteer one or two hours each week, please message me and we would be thrilled to have the help!

All donations go towards vet care, dog food, and all the things dogs need (like flea/tick prevention, beds, toys, electricity, treats, etc)! Every donation helps!

Our current electrical bill every month is between $900- $1200 (sadly with Wise Electric ☹️) Every donated amount helps us keep the electricity on here for the dogs.

Donations not only keep the facility running, but allow us to make improvements as well! Please help us help the animals.

Most of the time we are asking for items such as dog food and blankets, but this time is different. This is the first time we are struggling with our electric bill and need your help. With the upcoming temperatures this week, we are asking for help with blankets and buckets. We are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst, so will be filling buckets with water and bedding dogs down deeply. Happy is still waiting for her forever home that will be able to give her the security she needs. She spent almost one year in what she thought was her home, but after an altercation with the resident dog, she was kicked out. She still does get along with other dogs, but her high energy level can be too much for some dogs. She has been to a lot of places and walks great on a leash. 🚘SPECIAL TRANSPORT REQUEST 🚘

We have one dog that needs to make a consult appointment Thursday 2/13 at 8:45 at Dallas Surgical Center in Grapevine. This is an appointment someone will need to stay with Kane. He is unable to walk with his injuries and must be carried. He will be carried out to the vehicle and once at the appointment, I am sure staff is willing to help move him with a gurney. Who loves the water? Keeper does! This toy and water loving dog would be thrilled to share a home with a family. He found himself on the streets and then on the euthanasia list, but caught my eye. He is so full of life and spirit that he deserved another chance. This amazing dog will win over your heart. Just give him a chance

Kiano came from Fort Worth after being neglected for a long time. Not only was he starving, but he was suffering from a severe pneumonia. He was so pitiful that euthanasia was considered, but he showed us a side of him that had fight left. The dog that was once unable to stand is now a playing happy puppy! Goes to show you the strong will of this breed.

To those who have followed this rescue, there has been a lot of talk about the containers. My dream was to raise enough funds to house all the dogs under one roof, but we had to change plans. While we are not as fancy as a city shelter, we have improved the housing for the dogs here. This is a glimpse into the containers. We still have a lot of work to do to improve the kennels and play yards, but this is what we have accomplished thanks to amazing donors and volunteers.
