Are you looking for a Gem?

Well, we have him and his name is Major. He came to the rescue after a plea was put out on facebook about a dog that had been shot and needed immediate attention. Well, this sent us scrambling to find anyone willing to make a late night emergency transport and we miraculously pulled it off. The journey to save Major started at midnight and ended at 4am! Thanks to amazing volunteers Major was saved from a horrible fate. As it turns out, Major had not been shot, but had been attacked and suffered several neck wounds. After getting some basic wound care and meds, he has now healed and is looking for a home. And you can certainly call him handsome!! He has an amazing personality and loves to play. He loves his butt scratches and will make an excellent family member! Don’t miss out on gaining an excellent family member named Major

Major says “It’s FINALLY FRIDAY y’all!”

All donations go towards vet care, dog food, and all the things dogs need (like flea/tick prevention, beds, toys, electricity, treats, etc)! Every donation helps!

Our current electrical bill every month is between $900- $1200 (sadly with Wise Electric ☹️) Every donated amount helps us keep the electricity on here for the dogs.

Donations not only keep the facility running, but allow us to make improvements as well! Please help us help the animals.

Are you in the market for a goofball?

Well, meet Twix. Twix is a extra large dog ready to make you smile. He has a super gentle and sweet personality. He gets along great with other dogs and would love a soft bed to lay on. He does have some hip arthritis, but that does not stop him from playing and getting belly scratches. His cute underbite fits perfectly in his goofy personality too! Meet Marley and Leo

These two sweet boys are looking for a home where they can be loved on. They have spent their puppyhood guarding livestock, but can also transition into a house. Leo is very timid and looks to Marley for direction, so they would love a home together. They are learning what toys and human affection are, but are still learning leash manners. If you are interested in giving these two a home, email [email protected] for an application. They will be available for a forever home after being neutered and vaccinated.

🚘 TRANSPORT NEEDED Wednesday 4/9🚘

We have one dog needing a ride from Bridgeport Animal Hospital to the rescue between 3:30-5pm. He is a well behaved lab.

We also have 3 dogs needing a ride to TCAP in Fort Worth for arrival between 8-8:30am. We also need them picked up and brought back to the rescue between 1:30-3pm.

Zelda says “Give me your money or else…” 🤣

While Zelda loves to play with anything she finds, we really can use financial help. We are struggling with mounting vet bills as well as regular bills such as electric, water, and property maintenance. All these come at a price and we hope to do some improvements such as painting the containers, fencing, and enrichments for the dogs and cats. Here are some numbers:

Vet bills: $3,050
TCAP: $1,200
Electrical/water: $1,200
Property maintenance: $500
Fencing improvements: $5,000
Camper purchase: $1,100
Property improvements (painting, running water and electrical to the containers): $2,500
Dog enrichment: priceless!

These are just some of the bills we are facing and desperately need donations for. We would love to do more fundraising, but the reality is that I am one person and do not have the time to organize them. That is where volunteers can help!
