Happy 5th Birthday to the first litter that started our Springer Spaniels breeding adventure! Maggie, Tilly, Max and Brooklyn stayed in the local family. I’ll have to look at our records to name the rest! Happy Birthday sweet babies!

Oh lord! Thankful they’re going home this weekend! They’re taking us over!! A couple of them can get up on the couch and they got a cushion down and tore it open!! They’ve taken over the fire pit!!!

Well, people have been asking....yes, we're safe. Paradise is on an Evacuation warning for the whole town. Lot of people have left, we'll be sheltering in place and feel safe. The Park Fire is a beast and is now over double the size of the Camp Fire. It's at 348,370 with zero containment. Grew almost 50,000 acres, just this morning.

I was shocked when I heard there was only 1,600 firefighters on this fire. I sure hope they get some more help soon! Constant prayers for their safety, it's some pretty rugged terrain they're fighting in.

Thankfully we have these little guys to keep our minds busy!

FYI, this is just to reserve a puppy, our puppies are on camera 24/7 so you can watch the puppies grow and see their pesonalites. We don't assign puppies until about 5 weeks.

A beautiful but long day on the farm. Maggie has the longest first stage of labor! We were up at 3am but puppies didn’t start coming until 3 pm! As of 8pm, we have 8! 6 girls and 2 boys. She still has at least 2 more in there but mom and puppies (and me) are taking a well deserved break! Momma and I are beat!!!♥️

Mutton busting our sheep tonight to contain for spring sheering tomorrow. They’re so pretty with all this wool, but way too hot for them and we need yarn!!! Fiona and Franchesca! Leicester Longwool, an ancient breed, with less than 500 breeders in the world. If I could just find an unrelated Ram. Love these girls.

Going home day is sad but satisfying. We’ve bred the best dogs we can, gave them their best start to their life. Found them their best families and now the get to start their big dog lives! I recently talked to a gentleman who didn't want to pay our price for a puppy. He said that he wasn't going to breed so didn't need all the health testing. I realized he thought the health testing was for breeding dogs. I tried to explain that it was ensuring that our puppies grow up to be healthy, happy dogs. To ensure that we aren't breeding dogs that would suffer ill health in their life.

A battle cry to the public.

So many breeders are selling puppies way below the price should be to get quality care and pedigree/lines.

Please understand that if that is all that is supported you are putting all of our dogs at risk. Responsible and ethical breeders cannot stay in business and hold the standards that our dogs deserve.

From careful selection of parents, health testing, veterinary care, quality nutrition, puppy curriculum, puppy evaluations, and on and on.

I am seeing ethical and responsible breeders pausing left and right and what I need you to know is that if all of our GOOD breeders are reducing our litters and or stopping breeding altogether (we will not breed to any other standard other than of excellence) then what will be left of our dogs? Our lines?

I need this message to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR. Our dogs are at risk. I know the economy is crappy. We are all feeling that, but please save, be patient, and research before getting a dog at a price that is "too good to be true".

I am watching this all unfold before my eyes and I need your help!

Please protect all of our ethical breeders.

Buy responsibly.

Our dogs deserve it.

Our ethical breeders are the ones we want to protect, preserve, and create the healing power of the dog. We do not want the fate of our dogs left in the hands of ill-intention breeders.
