A quiet Howl-o-ween because we practice good manners during dinner time. 🎃🐾 Place training is one of the BEST skills you can teach your dog. It’s an excellent tool for management, practicing imlulse control, reinforcing settling behaviors during down time, and so much more. In its essence, it is a targeted down-stay often trained with a specific spot- which is how I introduce the behavior to learning dogs. However, it can become a more advanced skill where your dog can generalize the “place” to any spot you indicate to them, as you see with 3/6 of the dogs in the video (two on the couch and one on the floor, while the lab is in the true “place” sharing the cot with Chopper).
Good training can sometimes look... boring.(Believe it or not, this pup is a CRIMINAL 👀🥷🫣)That's often what can make it GOOD training. When working on something new or challenging it is important for the dog to be able to easily understand the goal behavior. This prevents confusion, frustration, and overwhelm for the dog, which is especially important when working on impulse control skills like you see here.🥷Benji is a swiper: he's curious about everything he DOESN'T need to play with, and when caught with these things he will most often choose to snatch and run. 👀Curiosity isn't a bad personality trait for a dog in itself, but chronic thievery can pose a very real threat to their health and safety.⭐️The solution: impulse control training, including a trained "leave it" behavior that you see here.Impulse control, ESPECIALLY for teen pups like Benji (6 mo.-18 mo.), can be difficult and frustrating to learn. So it will look boring during the learning process, but it's all to make sure that serial snatchers like Benji have a solid understanding of the training they need tohelp keep them safe.Benji has made significant progress since taking this video and he's on a steady path from criminal to companion. 🐶⭐️If YOU are living with a criminal canine,➡️ message me on the Integrity Canine, LLC businesspage📲 text or call me at 870-378-6503📧 email [email protected], Follow, and Share! 💚🐾#integritycaninellc #professionaldogtraining#professionaldogtrainer #cpdtka #kpactp#clickertraining #positivereinforcement#obediencetraining #impulsecontroltraining #puppymanners #servicedogtraining#therapydogtraining #tricktraining #puppytraining#puppysocialization #kenneltraining #pottytraining#leashtraining #looseleashwalking

Milo is back for his third week of drop-off Day Training (3 days a week) 🐾🐶🤎
This is a clip of his progress kenneling with a kennel-send. He's come to this complete behavior through shaping and chaining multiple smaller behaviors into one:
targeting the kennel, laying down in the kennel, holding the down, and then the release.
You can hear "kennel" to send him to go lay and stay in the kennel and then "free" to cue the break from down stay.
Every dog learns at their own pace, and Milo is quick to put the pieces together.
Clicker/Marker training encourages an active participant out of the dog in the training process. For a sport breed like a GSP, this active problem-solving taps into his natural drive to work.
Not only is Milo learning some really useful skills for behaving well at home, he's also being provided an outlet for all of the drive and energy he was bred to have.
Every Day Training session with this pup is a new adventure and I just can't get enough of him! 🐾🐶🤎

🐾 Loose-Leash Walking🐾
My sweet girl Cricket during the first weeks I had taken her in: we started leash training early, and now that she’s 18 months old she still walks on the leash very politely.
This clip highlights multiple skills that add up to success on the leash (along with some confidence building and socialization): offered attention and check-ins, responding to leash pressure, and automatic sits when stopped. All while experiencing a relatively new environment, and only 12 weeks old!
(side note: those EARS 🥰🐾🐕)
Successful, long-term training starts young. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to set a solid foundation! 💚🐾

It’s a BEAUTIFUL Friday, and for most its the end of another work week.
🐾What about the dogs at home though?🐾
WHAT IF there is the possibility for your dog to receive training while you are at work? (Even if you work from home).
Let’s talk about DAY TRAINING. 🐾☀️🐾☀️🐾☀️
☀️What is day training???☀️
Day training allows your dog to get regular one-on-one training outside of private lessons, with sessions typically taking place during the regular work day or on the weekends, and is one of the most versatile services that I have to offer.
You and your dog can benefit from:
☀️scheduling flexibility
☀️training plan flexibility
☀️consistent training between private lessons
☀️field-trip style sessions for socialization
☀️mental and physical exercise for your dog
☀️kick-started behaviors for easier transfer
☀️help with potty training
☀️and the list goes on!
Day training is ideal for clients with busy schedules who want the benefit of consistent and frequent one-on-one training for their dog, but may not wish to enroll in a board and train program.
For clients who have previously completed or intend on completing a board and train program, day training is an excellent support in transferring training to the home and helping prevent regression.
☀️Packages for day training are customizable and all training plans are catered to meet your family's specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. You will also be granted peace of mind with consistent communication and updates on your dog's progress following each one-on-one session, often including pictures and video clips of your dog's learning experience!
☀️Transfer lessons (private lessons) will be scheduled periodically so that your family can stay up-to-speed on your dog's learning, receive instruction on how to continually reinforce training, and allow for any questions or troubleshooting along the way.
☀️🐾 meet Remi 🐾☀️
Remi is
I was recently able to capture a training session with Marci Davis and Matthew Davis, a couple that I’ve been working with in the training of their two young poodles, Mew and Rei.
Marci has cerebral palsy and has blown me away with her dedication to training her girl, Mew. We have gotten creative in her training to accommodate Marci’s unique needs, and one way we have done so is using a loaded treat spoon to allow Marci to keep up a high rate of reinforcement under certain circumstances. In the video I’ve attached below, you’ll see Marci utilizing this method of treat delivery while out working on loose-leash walking. Marci has been wonderful at staying on top of Mew’s training in between visits, and this is just one example of all the progress these two have made.
While the couple has generally similar goals in their training for each dog, Matthew’s training with Rei has also been catered to meet his unique needs due to his autism. Some of my favorite sessions so far have been while working on DPT (deep pressure therapy) with the two. It has been really wonderful to see how in tune these two are.
Matthew prefers the hands-free over the shoulder style leash when walking with Rei, and we have been working on transitioning off of the traffic lead so that Matthew and Rei can walk together in a loose heel.
You’ll also see in the video clips below Matthew working with Rei both on and off the traffic lead.
Though it certainly doesn’t happen overnight, sessions like these are certainly a large part of what I love so much about private training: when I get to be so hands off that I have the chance to capture the results of all the hard work Matthew and Marci have put in with their dogs.

Here’s a clip of my current B&T, Hemi (5 m/o Doberman) in Home Depot. We were specifically working on loose leash walking and engagement while presented with distractions. Equally as important was allowing for exposure to new sights, sounds, smells, and strangers.
He is walking with me in a bit of a messy heel, and I don’t expect more than that from him thus far considering the environment. He’s also still in the beginning stages of transitioning away from requiring leash pressure (you may notice the martingale with the traffic handle that we would utilize in high-distraction and high-traffic areas of the store).
Maintaining his engagement was a greater priority than perfect form and I’m very pleased with how he responded to me. He is already a very sturdy and strong boy, and will only get bigger, so it has been a top priority for me to have him well under control while on (and off) leash.
This is the more boring part of training that is so essential to having consistent and long-term results. Practice and patience make all the difference!
Teresa Rose, I’m very proud of how your boy is doing! 💚💚💚
