Tracking Fees
Hey yall! Our favorite time of the year has approached. I just wanted to take so time to explain tracking changes and fees. In Arkansas.. the Game and Fish commission has made great strides explaining the laws associated with recovery of your trophy. These changes will help facilitate and firm understanding of the laws and they will help with the recovery of your harvest as well. We will be able to continue tracking on WMAs, we will be able to assist with mortality wounded deer. Important things to remember is we will have to have landowner permission to cross property lines and the hunter must be on the track. With fuel prices and dog food and tons of questions I have set up a standard minimum tracking fee as follows
30 minute or less drive $50 dollars
31-60 minute drive $100
Over an hour $200
Now… these are minimum and we will always accept more if you feel we deserve it. We track for fun not a job or to get rich… but the fuel, dogs, and equipment are expensive. However, because we do have other jobs, we will not leave a deer over money. If money is tight let us know, we will come help you put the deer in the freezer!
Lastly…. Drones. Here are my thought on drones. They can find deer for sure, they are very expensive, they cannot help you recover a mortally wounded deer. If you decide to call and pay the fee… they find your deer that is wounded, give us a call we will come help put resolve to the situation.
At the end of the day… we want to recover your deer more than you do. We will always give the best advice and service we can.. if you have any doubts give us a shout!!
