Lily underwent a successful ovariohysterectomy (spay) under general anesthesia. During the procedure, she also received a microchip and had a retained baby tooth removed. She tolerated anesthesia well and has been recovering smoothly with pain management. Lily is now ready to continue her recovery at home with further care and monitoring. 💕🐾

Meet our furry friend, Hazel, who completed her chemotherapy protocol for a 5th time! To say that this is a huge feat, is an understatement. Hazel was diagnosed with Lymphoma in the Fall of 2020. She went through the CHOP protocol three times and two rescue protocols, completing the second rescue protocol today. Despite her numerous visits to the hospital, this sweet pup continues to be full of love and joy every day. Her visits bring so much joy to the oncology nurses and Dr. Brenn who have had the honor of treating her these past 4 1/2 years. Congrats Hazel!🎉

If you think you see wasp nests outside of our front door, don't be fooled. The swallows have returned after 2 years! Swallow nests are made out of mud pellets, hair, grass, and feathers. When you're walking in or out of OAH Paramus, make sure to look up and see if the mother bird is feeding her babies!

Macho Defies All Odds!

Matcho the German Shepherd defied the odds at Oradell Animal Hospital, where a suspected ulcer nearly claimed his life. Matcho came to us after he had been vomiting at home for a couple weeks. Upon arrival, he received ultrasound, which led our doctors to believe the vomiting was a result of an ulcer. On his way to surgery, Matcho unfortunately arrested. With a combination of IV medication, chest compressions, and the generosity of a brave donor, Matcho was not just revived, but given a second chance at life—a testament to the power of compassion and teamwork in the face of adversity. Our team is so grateful for moments like these! ♥

We had a special pup join our list of blood donors this month! On March 6th, our very own Susan Conceicao brought in her pup, Baloo, for the third time to donate blood. Susan has worked in veterinary medicine for 21 years, and is coming up on her 7 year anniversary at Oradell. She always wanted a pet that would be eligible to participate in the blood donor program and was excited when she found Baloo, a 100+ pound cruelty case survivor. Baloo spent about a year in the humane society before Susan adopted him. His love for people and coming to work, as well as his size, made him a perfect candidate for blood donation. Susan and Baloo are happy to give back to others as a thank you for his life being saved almost two years ago! ♥

Maddie, the adorable attention seeker, knows the power of a little love and a gentle touch. Her tears turn to tail wags with just a belly rub. Who could resist this furry little drama queen?
