We had a wonderful time up at WEC this month! Makenzi and Gala had some wonderful trips in the USHJA 2’6” and rocked another under saddle. Becca and Messi wowed us all earning Champion in the Young Hunters and laying down some beautiful rounds in the National Derbies. Shea and Phoenix made their horse show debut together in the poles, and the smile on their face says it all. Becca and Casi continued to impress us - this mare is truly something special, and she continues to get better and better the more she steps into the ring. Quinn also joined us, and had some wonderful trips in the 1.0m and 1.10m. Whoever ends up with her is going to have the ultimate competitive partner! Shoutout to our friends Gwen, Katelyn, Siri and Anayalee for being fun horse show buddies 💙 It’s always nice to be surrounded by a wonderful group of supportive horse women! Thanks for another fantastic show everyone!

Pay Per View “Creampuff” is a very cute 2010 Welsh/TB gelding standing at 14.2h. He is a very straightforward and kind pony, currently showing in the childrens hunter pony. Creampuff would also be an excellent mount for a child looking to do anything from the poles to the 2’. Creampuff is very easy to handle, and truly enjoys to be groomed and loved on. Minimal prep, but does have typical maintenance for a 14 year old. P (low 5’s) preferred but open to L. Located in Paris, KY about 30 minutes from KHP.

Just Cooley “Quinn” is a 16.1h 13 year old ISH mare who was imported in 2017. Originally imported to be an eventing horse, she also has experience in Dressage, and is currently competing in the Jumpers with an AA. She is a bold, straightforward mare who will jump anything you put in front of her. Currently schooling 1.10m with scope for more. She is an easy keeper who requires very little prep. She is currently available to be tried at WEC Summer I, and will then be located in Paris, KY. P Mid 5’s L Low 5’s for the year. Video available. Very motivated seller!

Split Rock recap part 1:

Messi and Becca were absolutely brilliant in the 7 yo Young Hunters this week, laying down some of the best trips of his career so far. He is developing into such a lovely young horse, and we just love watching him work.

Creampuff and Elena had a wonderful week in the USHJA 2’3” and Children’s Hunter Pony divisions, ending the week with a win over fences! These two have come so far in such a short time, and the ribbons were well earned.

Casi and Becca made their return to the jumper ring this week as Casi continues to learn the ropes of being a show horse. Each time she stepped foot in the arena, she gained so much confidence and made truly wonderful effort. This young superstar is one to watch!

Flynn and Sarah joined us on the weekend for the Long Stirrup Hunter/Eq, and we couldn’t be more proud of how boldly Sarah piloted Flynn around in their classes, earning some top ribbons in both divisions! Congratulations to you two!

Gala and Makenzi competed in the USHJA 2’6” and the Low Adult Hunters this week, and the transformation from last fall to now is just incredible. They earned some top placings in some very competitive classes, and continued to improve every time they stepped in the ring. Their Low Adult under saddle might be the best flat they’ve ridden to date!

Pesto and Kennedy also participated in the Long Stirrup Hunter/Eq, and the pieces really fell into place for them this weekend. Kennedy handled everything Pesto threw at her with such tact, and rode their most beautiful jumping trips to date, earning themselves Reserve champion in the Hunter division!

Honorable mention: Lincoln is the cutest show dog ever!

Kennedy, Makenzi, Becca, Elena and Sarah had an absolutely fantastic week at to start our summer of showing! All 5 riders, and all 6 horses, continued to improve every time they went in the ring, and everyone far surpassed the goals we’d set prior to the start of the week. I am so proud to get to coach all of these incredible riders, thanks for making my job so fun! Can’t wait to do it again next month at WEC!

Creampuff, Pesto and Gala went on a little field trip today to school off property as we ramp up for show season, and everyone was wonderful! It doubled as a birthday party for Pesto, who will be 8 tomorrow! Thanks for a great day everyone!!
