We’re in need of gently used towels to help care for our patients. Towels play an important role in keeping our furry friends comfortable and clean during their visits, and we’re running low!

If you have any extra towels at home that you’re no longer using, we’d greatly appreciate your donation. You can drop them off at our hospital at 739 Warren Ave in Portland at your convenience.

On , we're sharing a few important reminders on the importance of microchips - such as:

➡ 1 in 3 family pets will get lost
➡ Microchipped dogs are more than twice as likely to be returned to their owners and microchipped cats are more than 20 times as likely to be returned to their owners

And remember - while microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate.

We want our equine owning clients to be aware of the 6 birds that have tested positive for West Nile Virus in Maine so far this year, one was in our area. If your horse has not been vaccinated against West Nile Virus, you may want to consider that option. More information on the disease is linked below.

West Nile Virus (WNV) is a mosquito-borne virus that affects humans, horses, and other animals.
