Our last Valentine.... (I'm sad because here are fun to write - my mom alwaysys said I should write children's books)

Tea Biscuit!!! What beauties you have chosen for Valentines!! And no, he couldn't choose just one. That's how it goes being a 'stud' like he thinks he is. Whatever you do PLEASE don't tell him he's not a Thoroughbred stallion. PLEASE!!!

Where do we even start? You have given us a smorgasbord of Millionaires with talent, grace, beauty and perfection. No wonder you couldn't choose - they're ALL amazing catches!

Let's start with Zenyatta - the Queen. Earning over $7.3 Million, her induction into the Hall of Fame puts her in an elite class. She was also Horse of the Year, and Champion Older Mare three times!! Winning races such as the Breeder's Cup Classic, Breeder's Cup Ladies Classic, the Ladies Secret (3 times), the Clement Hirsch (3 times), the Vanity (3 times) and the Apple Blossom (2 times) just to name a few. I can tell you, if she was racing, Biscuit was in front of the TV in the office neighing as loud as he could, wearing his teal and pink headband and leg warmers. He doesn't even mind that she's the oldest at the age of 21, the biggest and the tallest of his sweethearts, because, as I am sure you didn't know, Biscuit thinks he's a striking 16.3hh chunk of stallion flesh! (if he knew he was a mini gelding.......we'd have to take up offerings to pay for counseling for the rest of his life)

And Songbird made his list! WOW! This 12-year-old Princess earned almost $4.7 Million on the track and a cool $9.5 Million when she sold as a broodmare. Winning the Breeder's Cup Juvenile Fillies, the Delaware, Ogden Phipps, Cotillion, Alabama, American Oaks, Santa Anita Oaks and Del Mar Debutante just to show what a remarkable lady she is. She also won Champion 2-year-old Filly and Champion 3-year-old Filly. Biscuit never had any trouble finding her in her races because she looked like a million bucks in her Red and White Fox Hill Farm silks, and he says she always winked at the camera when she entered the Winner's Circle so he'd know she loved him.

And last, but CERTAINLY not least is the great Rachel Alexandra. At 19-years-old Biscuit is very smitten with her. Earning $3.5 Million in her racing career, she is also a member of the elite club known as the Hall of Fame. Like Zenyatta, Rachel was also Horse of the Year, and won Champion 3-year-old Filly as well. I am sure you have heard of races like the Preakness, the Kentucky Oaks, the Mother Goose, Haskell, Woodward.......and she won them all! Enjoying her retirement, and not being nagged by foals constantly being under foot, Biscuit likes the fact they could spend some quiet time enjoying each other's company sunning out in the field.

All three of Biscuit's gorgeous, successful Valentines live fairly close by too! Stonestreet, Lane's End and Gainesway are just a Sallee Van ride away! Instead of donations for things around the Haven and for the Ladies, he would like to start a fund-raiser to pay for his transportation.

Gosh, Biscuit - I don't know how you are going to keep them all straight so one doesn't find out about the other, but good luck to you! I promise we won't tell!

Two Shades of Grey…..the making of a sultry, steamy romance! (with quotes from the original Fifty Shades of Grey movie)

This is the first installment in the Two Shades of Grey novel series that follow the deepening relationship between Mims Eppi and a young business magnate, Seize the Grey. Eppi sure didn’t take any time seizing the opportunity to claim him! Then the Stallion Register Dating Catalog came in the mail and she tore his page out and has it pinned up in the back of her stall – for constant swooning.

Seize the Grey is as handsome as they come, and lives a whinny away at Gainesway Farm. This gorgeous 4-year-old hunk of extraordinary horse flesh earned a cool $2,425,938 while racing for MyRacehorse, and Eppi watched every race with great anticipation. She watched as her man stepped into the Winner’s Circle 5 times. Her “inner goddess was jumping up and down, clapping her hooves like a five-year-old” as he won the classic 2024 Preakness Stakes, the Pennsylvania Derby, and the Pat Day Mile, while pushing the other Ladies out of the way who wanted a closer look. She dolled herself up in the colors of his silks for every race (red lipstick and all) just like any girlfriend of a famous athlete does! She even has an obnoxiously huge diamond pendant sporting the initials ‘StG’.

Seize the Grey is the highest-earning son of the great Arrogate and Eppi knows they both hail from racing royalty, making them a perfect match. She had to “kiss a lot of frogs to find her prince”, but she’s found the perfect match for her muzzle. Eppi knows she’s a cougar-mare, but she also knows Seize the Grey is quite sought after, too. She doesn’t mind though; she has her own life to live, and loves entertaining with her Retired Broodmare Band. She knows Seize the Grey is not the kind to sit around with his hooves on the coffee table, because he’s a mover and a shaker and is working on his own global wealth. But she also knows he is the “state lottery, the cure for cancer, and the three wishes from Aladdin’s lamp all rolled into one.” At the end of the day, when the suit and tie come off, Seize the Grey relaxes to visions of his favorite grey lady, and reads the pages of love notes she’s sent him.

Eppi would love it if Ann would arrange a few late-night rendezvous for our Valentine couple to work on the second installment of their steamy romance novel which might be called “Raising the ordinary to the extraordinary”.

Happy Valentine's Day!!! We have two Ladies and a little Tea Biscuit to spotlight today, and we'll will start off with a fan favorite.......our girl Sweets! Here we go!!!

Like Father, like son......

Sweet Ambition is SWEET on War of Will! He is definitely the cat's pajamas, and her sweet tooth comes alive with the thought of her hunk of a horse!!

Can you say 'tall, dark and handsome?' War of Will (WOW) is a 9-year-old dark bay son of War Front, has a beautiful blaze, 4 white socks, and currently stands at Claiborne Farm with his sire, War Front. Standing at 16.2 hands, he is no slouch - earning over $1.8 Million - he is also one of the most athletic boys around! After the famous stretch duel with Maximum Security, War of Will demonstrated that horses CAN be acrobats, as he exhibited an amazing talent to stay on his feet, after being impeded going around a turn at 40mph. Sweets saw that run and his athleticism and knew he was perfect for her!

War of Will is 1 of 3 modern-day racehorses to win a Grade 1 on both dirt and turf. Winning the Preakness, the Maker's Mark Mile, the Risen Star.....he definitely has a WILL to win, and Sweets will go to WAR with any other lady that gets in her way. Except My Trusty Cat, and she wants to stay in good with Cat and War Front to increase her chances with the boy that WOWs her! She's even hoping to triple date with Ann, her husband, Cat, and War Front. Good looks and money don't fall far from the tree here!

Commanding $15,000 per mare in the breeding shed, Sweets knows her guy is willing to overlook the fact that she is beyond foal-bearing years and will love her for who she is - a beautiful, confident cougar-mare who takes one look at him and says WOW!

A Pharoah fit for a Queen!

Today’s couple doesn't need any introductions, but we will shout it out loud for those in the back and for those who don’t recognize the famous face. Today's love story features our Rhapsody Queen and her famous pony of a boyfriend, American Pharoah.

Queen demanded to choose her man first, and made it clear to the other Ladies right off that Pharoah was off limits. She also doesn't mind calling herself a gold digger and a cougar-mare, but admits she is pretty smitten with Pharoah's stunning handsomeness and just wants to pinch those cute little cheeks. She says he's also got an incredible 'engine' she likes to look at. Considering herself the Queen of her own Dynasty, it is fitting she chose this awesome Pharoah stud!

American Pharoah is an 13-year-old handsome bay c**t who is living his best life at Coolmore/Ashford Stud - not too far from the Haven. (the ladies are going to keep Sallee Vans BUSY) You might know him for his blazing speed and endurance. Both of which afforded him wins as the ONLY horse in history to win the 'Grand Slam'. Breaking the 37-year drought, he won the Triple Crown and then went on to give America the excitement of being a modern day 'Pharoah' by winning the Breeder's Cup Classic. He earned over $8.65 Million on the track, was inducted into the Hall of Fame, and was awarded Horse of the Year, as well as Champion 2-year-old c**t and Champion 3-year-old c**t in the Eclipse voting that same year he won the Grand Slam. Not only does he have brilliant speed, but he also has incredible looks, and a very laid-back personality! (apparently cute cheeks and a very fine-tuned engine, according to Queen)

Rhapsody Queen watched his races and is his biggest fan. When he won the Breeder's Cup at Keeneland, she could hear the roar of the crowd from the barn and knew right then she had to meet this famous guy. She has already sent some love letters to him, spraying the envelope with the scent of alfalfa and stud muffins - showing her love for him and solidifying their romance. We found a few of her letters under some paperwork in the office and found a poem she wrote for him that we wanted to share.

"Roses are Red, Violets are Blue,
I ate the Flowers I was going to give you."

Queen is such a romantic!

Love is in the air at OMRH! Today we are sharing My Trusty Cat's dream guy, War Front.

War Front is a 23 yr-old hunk of horse flesh that stands at Claiborne Farm. He isn’t far from OMRH, and Cat thinks because Ann's husband works there with the Stallions.....well....she could pull some favors and get to see her guy – but only when SHE wants to.

War Front had a good career on the track, earning over $424,000 - but his biggest accomplishments have been in the breeding shed, where at one time he commanded a $250,000 stud fee per mare. He has sired 12 Millionaires, has progeny earnings of $103 Million, he has 118 Graded Stakes winners, 25 Grade 1 winners, he is also considered an International Super Sire, and continues to make huge accomplishments with his babies.

Cat has sophisticated taste, and War Front wets her appetite! Thankful she’s too old for babies, she’s just looking for a man that makes her heart beat a little faster, but also has his own life because she doesn’t have time for someone full-time. She also considers herself quite a cougar, knowing she can get a younger catch like War Front.

Cat hopes to go on a double date with her, War Front, Ann and Rodeo (Ann's husband). She worries since War Front only has ‘one job’, that he could become quite the bore and she would at least have Ann to converse with if that happens. She doesn’t always want to ‘talk shop’ and hopes her man is more than one-dimensional.

Cat definitely isn’t looking for money because she has earned plenty of her own, and even has a race named after her, but wants a mature guy who can stimulate and challenge her intellectually because she’s ‘been there, done that’ and sees right through most guys. She also tends to get bored with suitors who just want her for her svelte figure.

We will see where this cupid match goes, but it sounds like Cat knows what she will and won’t put up with! War Front better bring his A game and show her he’s more than just a pretty face with good genetics and a LARGE pocketbook!

My what a handsome hunk you are!!!

Love Locket's heart throb is none other than the infamous Lava Man! She thinks he's dreamy and has sultry eyes! She's even asked Ann for a 'pin up' picture for the back of her stall.

Lava Man is a gorgeous dark bay 24-year-old that ran for a cool $5.27 Million dollars. Love Locket feels pretty confident she can live comfortably on his earnings. Lava was inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame in 2015 and retired from being a 'Coach' for Doug O'Neill's racing stable. He is now residing down the road at Old Friends. An icon on and off the track, Lava ponied horses such as I'll Have Another and Hot Rod Charlie in the Kentucky Derby post parade, and Love Locket thinks he's HOT, like his name! She dreams of steamy evenings of romance with her man, and wants gift cards for Sallee to pick her up and take her for some visits.

Love Locket has warned all the other ladies to keep their hooves off of her man! Besides, he's too HOT for them to touch.

Ahhhh, a musical romance........

Kat's Fairy Tail doesn't consider herself a 'groupie', but she's chosen a Rockstar of a boyfriend! Quality Road makes Kitty want to tease her forelock up high, put on her leather pants, wear a crop-top rain sheet and nod her head up and down to the sound of the sweet music that is called LOVE.

Quality Road is well-known for his incredible forelock that makes him look like a Rockstar and have a ‘bad boy’ persona. He is a 19-year-old dark bay living not too far away - at Lane's End. Quality Road earned over $2.2 Million during his race career, and now brings a $150,000 stud fee. Kitty is pretty sure that will buy her enough Aqua Net hairspray and blue eyeshadow to keep her in prime ‘girlfriend-of-a-rockstar’ appearance. Her man won 5 Grade 1 races and a total of 7 Graded Stakes. He's definitely centerfold caliber for Hoof Beat magazine - and she's got a subscription! Kitty is as sweet on him as she can be, and she knows just how to melt her man’s heart - and she knows Fairy Tales do come true!

Kat's Fairy Tale wants all the ladies to know that when the show is over and the lights go down, and Quality Road is back in his stall for the night, she is the one he will want by his side.
