questions, comments or concerns with our services, providing frequent correspondence with active unresolved medical cases and participating with local clubs and organizations such as FFA, 4H, Jr. Livestock, Rotary Club, Boy & Girl Scouts of America, and community retirement homes.

We would like to invite you join us next Monday, Jul 13, 2026 at 5:30 pm in the City of Paris, city council chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St, Paris, TX 75460 for a public hearing to rezone a block of land.

As you may know, I have extensive training in horse medicine and surgery however, since opening Paris Veterinary Associates at our current location in 2014 we have been unable to provide horse owners the care they deserve. The standard of care we have been able to provide is limited to that of a mobile practice. This means we are extremely limited on the care provided for colics, lamenesses, dental care and others. Rezoning this new property is the first critical step needed to allow us to bring a higher standard of care to the area. We can not proceed if this does not pass. We need your voice to show our local legislators that there is a need for this facility and there are few (if any) other options in our area. Please join us next Monday evening at 5:30 pm at the city council chambers.

Just a reminder that Independence Day is just around the corner and all that it entails. If your pet has separation anxiety, motion anxiety/sickness and/or loud noise phobia it's time to be proactive and start working on those desensitization measures and make sure you have the tools you need to get through the stressors. Have medications available if your pet has been prescribed them in the past. Remember, medications don't fix the problem, rather they help alleviate the stress so that desensitization training can help cope with the underlying cause. -Dr. O'Bryan
