We are saddened to have to announce the passing of our beloved Lippitt Morgan Willo Pond Knight Remedy (Wachuset Sherman x Willo Pond Georgi Anna) aka (Remy) who passed away last night peacefully in his sleep. He will be buried on the farm of Anne Simon in the beautiful foothills of Shenandoah National Park. He produced two offspring. Remy was show extensively from 2002-2007 mostly in the Midwest. He placed in the Morgan Grand Nationals in 2006, won the Allen’s Major Award at the Lippitt Country Show in Vermont in 2006 and so many others. He was my schoolmaster and taught me to drive and gave my niece Alexi her first season showing here locally in Kentucky. He spent his last days loved and doted on by Anne and her grandchildren. You will be missed oh so much beautiful boy.

Hello fellow LMBA members
My name is Bruce Orser, and at this late moment have been given official consent to run for the office of Vice President of the LMBA. I have been a former Lippitt breeder under the Winloc prefix, have owned Ransomvale mares, Winloc Sir Arthur, Ashwood Jess’s Pride, River Riders Riddler, Winloc Green Mountain, River Riders Rich, His Mariah, C.C. Eres Tu, and the sire of Rich and Riddler, I have been a Morgan horse historian for 55 years.
Why so late, you might ask.
In my view and the view of others, the Lippitt Type has been fading with no improvement for decades.
We seem to have a fair number of usable mares but few quality Justin Morgan like stallions. This is my primary concern for the Lippitt and has been for a long time. Please ask your selves, ‘how many stallions have I seen or seen photos of that truly resemble the images of Justin Morgan.’ Where do we find his deep, muscular body now?
I would like to, with the help of the membership and executive board initiate an approach, a course of action, toward the improvement of Lippitt stallion quality of type. Over time this would increase sales and prove our close lineage to Justin.
As years pass we have fewer of these precious horses. The answer is numbers being bred. And Always, do consider breeding the Best to the Best. Send a mare a distance and use AI where available. Truthfully, sacrifice is in order for most of us, otherwise the Lippitt will continue to diminish in quality and numbers.
If we cannot save the perfect Justin Morgan Type in our stallions, what is left but a high percentage of blood without Justin’s appearance.
If, as a membership are we satisfied with the name Lippitt and high percentage alone?
My goal has always been Justin Morgan in every aspect within those Lippitt foundation horses for the continued future of the Lippitt Morgan.

Sometimes you come across another breeder that sees eye to eye with your own vision. Becca Tyson and I have decided that the limited amount of Moreeda resources should be together to facilitate a better breeding opportunity, so the mares with these ultra rare bloodlines will be going to Texas and they and Becca's c**t T-Morgan Ranch Moreeda (Hercules) have a big job to do. We will support them from Kentucky in these breeding endeavors
