Prairie Path Pet Care was started by its founder, Shawn Frick. If you ever get the chance to know Shawn, you’d learn how important it is to him to align his work with something he is passionate about. He feels the same about the people who come and work for his company. He wanted to find a way for himself, and others, to spend more time with animals, improving animals’ lives and, in turn, create an outstanding pet service company that pet owners can truly trust.
Shawn spent 10 years grooming and growing his dream, dealing with the challenges and risks that come with entrepreneurship. Once a few doors opened in 2011 the vision became clear, and the opportunity possible. After careful planning, it was in 2013 that Prairie Path Pet Care first opened for business and started caring for the pets of Wheaton, IL and its surrounding cities. Now, having celebrated 6 plus years of 5 star rated service, he and Team Prairie Path now enjoy the rewards of delivering the best in pet care to animals and their owners through Prairie Path. The success in Wheaton was so overwhelming that it allowed PPPC to take our industry leading, next level pet care to Crystal Lake, IL, Park Ridge, IL, Geneva, IL and even out-of-state down in Nashville, TN.
Our mission? We’re a local business, owned, managed and staffed by pet lovers who understand the importance of treating animals like they’re part of the family. We live in the neighborhoods we service and we offer the most professional and reliable pet care of its kind in the Chicagoland and Nashville area. We apply our mission through expressing wholeheartedly, to our clients, that they and their pets are part of our Prairie Path family.
It starts with love for the pets. It has to! But it can’t stop there. We pride ourselves in blending professional pet sitting and topnotch customer service to create an experience you won’t find at any other pet care company. Prairie Path is staffed with professionals who come from varying backgrounds from management, customer service, commercial real estate, insurance, account management and previous pet business owners.
