We have an exciting new medication in our clinic called Librela!
This drug is a treatment for osteoarthritis (OA) in dogs and can provide long-term pain control and an improved quality of life for dogs. It is a monoclonal antibody that works to reduce pain signals to the brain, therefore making it easier for your dog to move and play. This once-a-month injection also reduces the need to give daily oral medications.
Your pet may be suffering from OA, regardless of age, size, or breed, if they limp after exercise, are slow to rise from lying down, being stiff or lagging behind while walking, having difficulty jumping or climbing stairs. Visit zoetispetcare.com/checklist/osteoarthritis-checklist to help identify your dog's activities and behaviors that may be a sign of OA.
After your veterinarian diagnoses your pet with OA, a treatment plan can be made to see if Librela would be a good fit for your dog.

Mabel wants to wish everybody a Happy Monday!!
Happy news about Dill today. He has improved greatly and the seizures have stopped. He was delighted to go home with his family! He will be on medication for a while, but it looks as if he will make a full recovery. Thanks to everyone who was concerned about him.
This is Dill. He was treated with an over the counter flea and tick treatment made by Sergeant. Even though he was treated with an
appropriate dose for his weight, he began to have seizures shortly after administration of the medication. We have had bad experiences with these types of products in the past and DO NOT RECOMMEND any over the counter flea and tick medications other than Frontline. We have much safer and more effective options available here. Please contact us if you have any questions about what is likely to be safe for your pets. We are hoping that we can make Dill better. He is currently hospitalized with anti seizure medications and IV fluids.
This week is National Veterinary Technician Week. These are the people working behind the scenes to care for your animals. Thank you to all technicians and assistants who have dedicated themselves to the care of animals. It is challenging work! Here’s a little peek into their days.
