There's so many things to love about walking dogs but my favorite part, without a doubt is the tail swish. That effortless, smooth, beautiful tail swish while walking tells me this dog is happy, comfortable, and confident.

Hey y'all, with the holidays in full swing, I thought it'd be a good time to give out some nutrition suggestions. I know the holidays are a terrible time for diets but that doesn't mean we can't be conscientious of the things we put in our body. I have been feeding my Josie girl mostly raw food for over a year now and I have learned SO much since then and have found this burning passion to share this treasured knowledge with anyone that will listen.
In the next couple months, I'll explain further on how I stumbled on canine nutrition, things I have learned, things to think about, and how to get started on all natural journey if interested.
I am still working on my journey as well. I believe we should never stop learning and striving to be and do better and it is never too late to start. So watch out for posts from Happy Howlz full of information to improve your pet's lives.

So why did the turkey cross the road??

I don't know and I don't think this turkey does either! 😂 I see this bird at least once a week during my walks. It's a lone turkey that hangs out in the same area but not the brightest turkey though. Today it literally just stood here across the road from it's normal area, maybe to slow down traffic?? 🤷‍♀️😅

As the hustle and bustle of the holidays approach, don't forget to make sure your pet is cared for as well! I have a few openings for drop ins/ walks on and around Thanksgiving for those of you who aren't hosting this year in Parker, CO. I understand sometimes a holiday gathering just isn't in your pet's best interest with all the people and food they can get into. Happy Howlz has experience and is knowledgeable about feeding raw or fresh food! Not only that but I ENCOURAGE feeding raw or fresh food if at all possible.

I have cared for dogs that are picky eaters, that need hand fed, or that get a special mixture of kibble and fresh food. My own fur-baby is fed raw because she has severe skin allergies.

Each pup is different and has different needs. When caring for your pet, I am happy to feed your pup however you have set up for them.

I've been studying TCVM for a little while now and decided to take the human personality quiz to find out which element I am. Turns out I'm a water! It's pretty neck and neck with earth but I think water just fits me a bit better.
As humans we love to put labels on things but it also helps to know what kind of personality you are so you know what to look out for what kind of symptoms might emerge or what kind of diets would help you best or things that I'll need to work on or be aware of certain situations that may affect me differently than it might affect others. Afterall, everything is connected. The test tells you what your dominant element is but that personality is just a start as certain foods, exercises, tonics are going to help balance out that personality keep that element from taking over completely or becoming too low. I'm certain now that when I used to have panic attacks that was the water element taking over in me, now I have the tools and resources to prevent that from occurring.
It's just so cool to realize that so much of our emotions, physical well-being, and healthspan can all be controlled by us with knowing who we are, which element is dominant in us and making choices to their support that element or another one to help balance us out.
