For the past few weeks, I’ve been deep in the recording studio, pouring my heart into something I’ve wanted to share for a long time. After years of working with dogs—learning from them. growing because of them— I realized their lessons weren’t just about training. They were about life.

That’s where Life lessons from Dog was born. This podcast is a space where I share the stories, experiences, and insights that have shaped me—lessons on trust leadership, boundaries, and resilience, all through the lens of dogs who have been my greatest teachers.

This 4 week series will get you and your puppy off on the right foot with socialization and foundational training skills and relationship building. Did you know that we offer Maintenance Walks in select areas? These walks are a great way to get your dog exercise without undoing any of the training you’ve invested in.

My clients use these in tandem with their training program to help support when they can’t get walks in on their own, or as a way to get some structured exercise in on long days at work or even when they’re out of town and don’t have a trusted walker. Check out our stories for more details today!

Smile Series…

Zeb came in for a consult yesterday because he’s been getting increasingly more defensive of his space and has started resorting to using his mouth when he’s really uncomfortable. This boy is just an absolute love bug, but he was really worrying his humans with those behaviors!

We started on his socialization today in the daycare yards and he loved up on the daycare staff, I’m looking forward to getting his humans trained up starting this weekend! Before they know it, Zeb’s going to be a whole new boy.

Smile Series …

Oh, miss Maggie! This girl is sweet as pie and absolutely *jazzed* at life! She came in to work on her leash reactivity and overall high arousal behaviors both in and out of the house. We’ve started her on some foundational leash manners and had her in a yard train this weekend. Lots of work ahead of this girl but her enthusiasm just can’t be beat.

Smile series …

Lita showed up in my Basic Obedience class at Under the Sun and she and her mom absolutely rocked the class! As we got to know each other, it became clear that Lita needed some help socially to get into a better space when she’s around other dogs. We did our first yard train together this week and she made huge progress! We’ll keep working at it but the confidence shift in this girl has been fun to watch and I had to share.

Smile Series …

How stinkin’ cute is Murphy? Murphy’s mom called in an SOS because this boy was tearing up windows and blinds and doors to try and see any friend that walked by his home. Friendly? 1000/10!

We’ve been doing in home lessons to focus on bettering communication between Mom and Murphy and are starting to add field trips in to get his leash skills in hand and make it so they can enjoy life together better!

This is Memphis! We are doing some pack therapy to address some new reactivity and insecurity that’s come up for this big marshmallow. He’s done very well, gotten off of his muzzle, and mom is reporting he’s already noticeably different in stressful situations.

This is Sage!

What an absolute doll this girl is! We’ve known each other for over a year and first met at Under the Sun when she started in my Basic Prep class. Her journey has been so fun to be a part of, she’s now remote collar and off leash trained and I get the pleasure of working her in Day Trains when she’s in Daycare. She’s also set to graduate her second Basic Obedience class, this round on E-Collar!

Smile Series ..

This is Nico!

How ‘bout that smile? Nico and his sister are currently doing in-board training with me at Under the Sun. Their life got turned upside down when their human suddenly passed, but they landed the *best* new human! Nico suffered a bad accident as a puppy that required him to miss most of his early social periods and because of that he’s struggled with meeting new people and being incredibly stressed and nervous in new environments. We’re doing Remote Collar training to work on this (my favorite!), and of course we’ll do lots of Pack Therapy to get that confidence up.
