On Monday we were lucky enough to see a double rainbow over our hospital.

For us, this colorful archway symbolizes the loving journey of our beloved pets who have crossed over and now play joyfully at the end of the Rainbow Bridge.

As we care for and cherish the pets in our lives, this rainbow serves as a comforting reminder that those we’ve lost are never truly gone—they are forever in our hearts and at peace.

We're always thrilled to receive compliments on our beautiful lobby! However, our goal is to minimize the time you and your pet spend there. Prolonged stays in the lobby can lead to potential issues, such as inter-animal aggression, disease exposure, and added stress for both pets and owners.

To keep your visit as smooth and efficient as possible, we have six exam rooms to quickly get you and your pet into a private space away from any lobby commotion. Plus, with our in-room checkout system, you can enjoy the lobby as a pleasant welcome and farewell, without lingering longer than necessary.

Lalo had an unfortunate injury yesterday and needed an emergency surgery. Dr. Frint was able to perform a same day emergency surgery, the team made sure Lalo was comfortable all day, and Lalo is feeling much better today. We love being able to help patients as cute and sweet as Lalo!

Today we finalized our feline only room to help limit the stress cats can experience while visiting the veterinarian. The first patients in it, Ginger and Midnight, were happy to break it in at their post surgical rechecks and give their stamp of approval!

Happy Independence Day! We will be back open tomorrow, July 5, at 7:30AM!

4th of July Tips!
1. Ensure your pets tag, collar, and microchip information is up to date. 4th of July is a very common time for lost pets.
2. Wear them out during the morning and day. Take them on a long walk or long play session. This will help reduce overall anxiety and stress and help your pet relax during the fireworks.
3. Create a safe space in your home, preferably an interior room. Provide a bed or crate, distract them with chew or toys, and turn on a TV or music to help muffle the outside noise.

PLEASE HELP US WELCOME OUR NEWEST VETERINARIAN:
DR. KEVIN FRINT!

We cannot be more excited to announce that Dr. Frint will be joining the Hess Ridge Animal Hospital team, and will be accepting new patients beginning on Monday July 1, 2024.

Dr. Frint and Dr. Skarie were classmates and roommates in Veterinary School and worked together at their previous hospital. Dr. Skarie has seen first hand the care, compassion, and knowledge Dr. Frint puts forth in every visit he sees. He is the perfect addition to our team!

"Dr. Kevin Frint grew up in south-central Wisconsin. He received an undergraduate degree and earned a DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Frint worked in Madison following veterinary school before moving to Denver in 2021. Dr. Frint moved to Denver with his fiancée Jess, their cat Button, and their dog Nova. His special interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. Dr. Frint’s favorite part of veterinary medicine, however, is building close personal relationships with his clients and their pets and seeing familiar faces return for visits. In his spare time, Dr. Frint enjoys exploring new hikes with Jess and Nova, playing basketball and golf, and visiting local breweries. Dr. Frint is eager to join Dr. Skarie and the Hess Ridge Animal Hospital team!"
