Yesterday, August 24th. this incredible group of individuals, including Cee Cee (not pictured) helped distribute 1169lbs of dry and 1046 wet cat and dog food to 120 individuals for their 297 cats and dogs.

A huge shout out and THANK you to Marissa Gross, Patty Conlon, Erin Victoria Karpinec, Tracey Reiff, Steven Reiff, Mark Brin, Carol Rini, Karen Peters, Cee Cee, & Justin Stevens for all your help.

Thank you so much to the folks who donated the cat and kitten food desperately needed just for this distribution. While we still needed to reduce the cat food (a little), it was a very successful distribution.

Someone recently asked me how many dogs and cats we’ve been lucky enough to rehome over the last 5 years. It got me thinking and digging through our photo vault this evening.

These are not all of our companion animals, I know I’m missing a few but am unable to find those photos. Enjoy these babies.

We have a pretty big pet food distribution this Saturday morning, August 24th.. so big, it’s got us stressing about our dry cat food inventory and if we’ll have enough to get us through that distribution.

Due to the Tornado and the power outage many of us experienced afterward, we had to cancel our pet food distribution on Saturday, August 10th.

We moved those already registered to our Saturday, August 24th. roster and we'll likely be super busy seeing as we can't disappointment the clients signed up for the Saturday, August 24th. pet food distribution.

We're looking for a few good folks to help us out with running the pet food packages to waiting clients on Saturday, August 24th. between 10am - 12pm. We won't keep you a minute more, we promise.

We love a good long term volunteer, but it's won't hurt our feelings if you make a one time gig. We completely understand, no commitment, no pressure, no contract to sign. We swear!

A Call That Changed My Life

Back in March 2017 I got a text from a gal I met while serving as the Vet Chairman at a local Animal Shelter. She called and asked if I could take in the five puppies her dog had given birth too. She didn’t have the means to care for them properly. These pups came to me with Mange, a skin disease that needed oral medication and weekly baths. I didn’t know how I was going to do it myself, but I answered her call and rose to the challenge. Many of my friends pitched in and brought puppy chow, crates, toys and a big puppy bed. We had a fundraiser from Tupperware to help defray the cost of their vet visit.

This experience changed my life, I loved working with these pups, getting them healthy and socializing them to become the best dogs they could be. We adopted them to some awesome families who still send pictures and videos to this day. This is how my journey began how this rescue got started.
