The Nursing Home donations have started to come in. WOW! I've collected so many wonderful items so far, you all didn't disappoint!

I didn't get photos of all of it, but there are hairbrushes, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes, nightgowns, robes, incontinence products, slippers, sweatshirts & pants, crossword puzzles, oh and socks w/grippers, etc.

I am so incredibly THANKFUL to the generous folks who have partipated so far.

I'm still collecting so please reach out if you'd like to help some nursing home residents for the holidays.

Good morning All,

I'M STILL COLLECTING THESE ITEMS RIGHT UP UNTIL CHRISTMAS πŸ™‚

πŸŽ… Happy Holiday's 🀢

This is Bob, Founder of Companion Pets of Cleveland.

I know we ask a lot, but know it's always for the betterment of others and/or pets in our local communities.

Another cause, near and dear to my heart is the elderly.

With that, I could use some help gathering unused shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream, razors, and/or other life essentials (full or travel sized) for the elderly at some of our local nursing facilities.

I know they could use gently used sweat shirts/pants (all sizes), robes and slippers (no slide ins) as well as incontinence products, too.

I am not asking for cash donations or for anyone to go out and purchase items, just donate what you already have and didn't know what to do with until you saw this post.

If you wish to make a donation, please email me at: [email protected] to make arrangements.

My father lost his battle with dementia in January 2024.

It was during his time at a nursing facility did I learn of not only their need for these types of supplies but other local nursing facilities as well.

There are so many residents that don't have family or friends to visit, or to pay for haircuts, let alone purchase or bring them these supplies regularly.

Please consider a donation this holiday season. πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ„πŸŒ²

If you can't donate any of these items, please consider a Christmas card, a puzzle, crossword puzzle book, or a coloring book w/crayons.

Simba absolutely loves the toys and the bed his Mom won in our raffle basket at the Normandy Winter Craft Fair yesterday afternoon.

This pup has a pretty rough back story but his new human is making up for all the rough patches this guy has endured over his short life. He was so frightened and nervous, he would bite to protect himself. She's turned that around and he now loves to be petted, and belly rubs. ❀️

*** IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR PANTRY CLIENTS ***
To avoid canceling our distribution on Saturday, December 13th.

We'll be changing things up a little, for those of you who have already signed up for this distribution, please know we'll be working on a 1st come 1st serve mode as we're extremely low on dry food. We'll need to adjust the portions of the pet food packages as well.

While we've had some really nice donations, they simply weren't enough to cover this distribution completely. We will keep you posted on our distribution on Saturday, December 27th..

We WILL NOT be adding new clients to this distribution list as of now. We'll work through and add the clients who submitted the online reorder forms that we've received as of yesterday, December 6th.

In the meantime, please contact these other great pet food pantries in the area. Some may have some income requirements, so please act quick.

A Call That Changed My Life

Back in March 2017 I got a text from a gal I met while serving as the Vet Chairman at a local Animal Shelter. She called and asked if I could take in the five puppies her dog had given birth too. She didn’t have the means to care for them properly. These pups came to me with Mange, a skin disease that needed oral medication and weekly baths. I didn’t know how I was going to do it myself, but I answered her call and rose to the challenge. Many of my friends pitched in and brought puppy chow, crates, toys and a big puppy bed. We had a fundraiser from Tupperware to help defray the cost of their vet visit.

This experience changed my life, I loved working with these pups, getting them healthy and socializing them to become the best dogs they could be. We adopted them to some awesome families who still send pictures and videos to this day. This is how my journey began how this rescue got started.
