🌟 Happy National Nonprofit Day! 🌟

Today, we celebrate the incredible impact that nonprofits like Animal Crackers Rescue Inc. have on our communities. As we honor the spirit of giving, we want to shine a spotlight on two of our current furry friends who are on their journey to recovery—Scrappy-Doo and Odie!

🐾 Scrappy-Doo: This little fighter has been through a lot, but his spirit is unbreakable! With your support, he's receiving the care and love he needs to bounce back stronger than ever.

🐾 Odie: Sweet and gentle, Odie is slowly healing with the help of our amazing team. Every day, he shows us the power of resilience and the difference that compassion can make.

On this special day, we thank YOU—our supporters, volunteers, and community—for making it possible to give dogs like Scrappy-Doo and Odie a second chance. Together, we’re creating a world where every animal has a loving home. 🐶💕

Freya had a fracture in right pelvis still that wasn’t healing well. So as you can see her right back leg limp when she walks. She has good days and bad. But overall is alive, walking and happy 😊

She is home and doing good! 2 weeks till staples come out. Then, in 6 weeks for re X-rays.

Update 1/11/24: surgery was rough for her but she is a tough girl. So, They need to keep her 2 extra days but she is starting to put pressure and stand on the back legs. She gets to leave tomorrow afternoon 🐾

Good news! Surgery is set for Tuesday! They are starting from the top and moving down. She has multiple Pelvis fractures and hip issues they will start with and then move down to the left broken femur ( top leg) and then right broken tibia/ fibula ( bottom leg). So Prayers for this sweet girl will be needed next Tuesday. Thank You Dr. Perez at Veterinary Surgery Center in Sarasota for getting her in ASAP.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸 🕯️

We will never forget the lives given and the lives taken 22 years ago today. We will never forget those who ran towards danger and the ones who dropped everything to help. We will never forget the ones who showed a bravery and a caring so pure and so strong. We will never forget the country that America was the moment we witnessed something so horrific and banded together to protect our home and say "never again". We will never forget the comradery and pride, the patriotism and service. And we will never forget the loved ones who will forever have a hole in their lives where their husband/sister/child/friend/ coworker/hero once was.
