Do you have a dog or cat that needs to be spayed or neutered? We have a low income program available! If you qualify for food assistance in Kansas (those are the income guidelines we are using), you can have your pet spayed or neutered for $10! And we are now able to do those on site, at our shelter. The next date is Thursday, November 14th. Contact the shelter for more information or stop by to complete an application, Monday-Friday, noon-3pm!

It’s a great day at our organization and we’re pleased to share exciting news! In addition to being selected as one of 40 animal welfare organizations across the U.S. to receive a product grant, funded by Petcare, totaling $2 million in Zoetis pet healthcare products, our surgical spay/neuter room is now licensed and ready to use! The products we will be receiving through this generous grant will provide the cats and dogs in our care with flea, tick and heartworm disease prevention, along with essential vaccines and antibiotics. Having healthy pets is a fundamental part of protecting the well-being and safety of our community, and this grant will go far in helping us do that!

Volunteer Spotlight - PALS would like to recognize Robert Fuentez, who is helping us with the collection of aluminum cans. Robert says, "I love giving back to PALS because they have given so much to our family. We have adopted cats and dogs from PALS and it has brought so much joy to our lives, and I want everyone else that adopts a dog or cat from them to enjoy the same experience we have. It's hard to imagine how much love a dog or cat can bring to your life until you experience it yourself." Thank you Robert, we appreciate you and all you do for our animals!

Exciting news!!! PALS has been selected by Zoetis Petcare and Adopt a Pet as a recipient for a Zoetis Product Grant! This grant will help us provide flea, tick and heartworm disease prevention for cats and dogs, along with essential vaccines and antibiotics needed to support the animals in our care. We are honored to be one of 40 nonprofits being awarded a total of $2 million in Zoetis pet healthcare products to help ensure that shelter pets are healthy and ready to find their forever homes! Thank you, Zoetis Petcare and Adopt a Pet!!! This will have a huge impact here at Proud Animal Lovers Shelter (PALS).

Mr. Milo would like to thank everyone for trying to help him find his forever home. Milo would also like everyone to know, while at times his hearing is "selective" (especially if he's busy sniffing all the sniffs. 😉) it is also very good and very sensitive. He does NOT like loud noises which make him nervous & anxious . Milo is ready for an adult home where he can feel safe & loved. Thank you everyone for trying to help Milo find his perfect people.
