Nina is a resilient, gentle, and affectionate girl with so much love to give. Nina’s story is heartbreaking—while wandering the streets, someone tried to harm her with a trail of meat on broken glass and rat poison. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan saved her and brought her to the shelter where she lived for 9 months before flying to the US.

Nina is wonderful in her kennel, always keeping it clean, and brings a calm, loving energy to everyone around her. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s been through so much yet remains so sweet, Nina could be the one.

It’s Five Dollar Friday and we need your help! We just took in this mama and her litter of 7 puppies. The family who owned them sold a few before we got to them but we are trying to track them down. At only 4-5 weeks old, they are too young to be separated from mom and still need to nurse. Mom and pups were starving when they arrived yesterday. We already know that we will be going through tons of puppy food as we raise them for the next month. If you can donate toward their food and supplies we would be so appreciative. Mille is a 4-year-old Mexico street dog with a tragic story. She spent her entire life in a shelter in Mexico, simply because she was the only black puppy in her litter. While her siblings were adopted as puppies, Millie patiently waited and waited. Now she’s finally in the U.S. and we are eager to find her the forever family and loving home she has been waiting for all this time!

Millie may be a bit shy at first, but she quickly warms up and shows her gentle, sweet personality. She absolutely adores going on walks, car rides, and playing with other dogs, and she’s perfectly content relaxing in her kennel when it’s time to wind down. She would make a perfect apartment dog due to her mellow energy and quiet nature. At around 30 pounds, Millie is the perfect medium-sized companion—ready to snuggle on the couch or go out for an adventure.

We are heartbroken to share that we had to say goodbye to Coco. 💔🌈

Coco, our longest resident, had struggled with urinary incontinence since her extensive tumor removals two years ago, but suddenly she lost the ability to urinate. We knew this was serious and rushed her to the emergency vet, where she was diagnosed with a stump hydrometra. This is a rare and dangerous infection of the small amount of remaining uterine tissue in spayed animals. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the extent of the issue. They also discovered that her cancer was back and far worse than before - completely obstructing her urethra. Her doctor remarked that Coco was “the unluckiest dog” and said she had never seen a case like hers in her entire career. With a poor prognosis, we made the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize.

Despite the incredibly unfair battle Coco faced with her health, she was fortunate to have the most loving, compassionate, and unconditionally accepting foster parents - Ashley and Jonathan. For nearly two years, they cared for Coco as their own. Her special needs were never an annoyance or inconvenience to them - they changed her diapers multiple times a day and never said a negative thing about it. They loved her so much and we know Coco felt that deeply. Ashley and Jonathan were by her side through it all, right to the very end. It is comforting to know that from Coco’s perspective she was home all along.

Rest in peace, Coco. 🌈

Meet Quincy! This 65 pound, one-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix is a true sweetheart with an incredible story. Rescued after living on the side of Route 66, Quincy has proven to be an easy-going, friendly, and loyal companion.

Meet Winnifred—lovingly known as Winnie—a 4-6-year-old, 20-pound Shih Tzu/Poodle mix who is so loyal and loving. Winnie joined our rescue after being seen wandering the streets alone for months, but her spirit remains as happy and sweet as ever.

Winnie is an easy-going, joyful little companion who loves affection. She strikes the perfect balance between independence and affection—equally happy to entertain herself as she is to be your little shadow. She adores playtime, followed by cozy naps, and one of her best qualities is her clear communication when she needs to go outside.

Amber was found wandering the streets on a rainy day in South Central. Skinny, scared, and hungry, she didn’t run or resist being ushered to safety.

After an extensive search for her owner, nobody claimed her. Months have gone by, and she has blossomed into a healthy and happy dog! Amber is a lady of leisure. She could lounge in the sun ALL day, and have her belly rubbed.

Amber is around 7 years old and the most gentle, friendly girl. She loves other dogs and going on walks. She does extremely well on a leash and has learned stay, wait, and sit. She is house-trained, mellow, and low maintenance. Apply to adopt Amber at pupculturerescue.org/adopt!

We’ve got a bone to pick with anyone who doesn’t love Bones!

This 6-month-old puppy is social and LOVES to play. He has never had an accident in his kennel and he gets so excited for meal time. He is extremely food motivated which will make training a breeze. He spends his days playing with all his doggy friends at our Collective. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped and ready to go!

Meet Reuben, the resilient 3-year-old Golden Retriever looking for a golden life!🌟After spending his whole life outside, Reuben arrived in rough shape—flea-infested and filthy—but his sweet personality always shines through. He’s super friendly, adores toys, and loves a good zoomie session in the yard! Cat-friendly and quiet in his crate, Reuben’s foster describes him as a total sweetheart. Reuben is still working on potty training but we have a feeling that it will come quickly to him given that he took to his crate without issues. Nothing is quite as sweet as Peaches! This pup came to our rescue from an accidental litter (and the parents are both scheduled to be fixed now). The parents are a Maltipoo and a Merle Frenchie and Peaches is super spirited and playful. She is a fast runner and loves to follow her foster around. She would do amazing in an active household!

Peaches is 5 months old and weighs 13.5 pounds. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home!

Kona was adopted from us two years ago as an 8-week-old puppy and sadly her owner is looking for a new home for her. She recently got a new job that requires her to travel half of every month and it is no longer manageable to also own a dog.

Kona is a very active and high energy 50 pound husky mix. She completed a 30 day board and train when she was 6 months old so she has all her basics down pat. She is completely potty trained and sleeps in her crate at night with a “go to bed” command. Kona will need someone willing to exercise her and mentally stimulate her as she is very smart and gets bored easily.

She goes to daycare weekly and loves playing with other dogs. She was also raised with a cat and could be great with one again as long as they are okay with her playful nature. This is Travis. The phrase “Man’s Best Friend” gets thrown around a lot in the dog world. But with this guy, it’s a fact. Originally from our spring “Clueless” litter and adopted at just 8 weeks old, he has now (at 8 months old), through no fault of his own, been surrendered back to the rescue…twice. Everyone who meets him, loves him and he loves everyone! Even with our thorough adoption process, sometimes it’s hard for adopters to understand the responsibility before living it. We feel this is an absolute “travis-ty” and it is of utmost importance that we find him a family that won’t let him down again.

Travis is smart, loyal and social. He’s great on walks and knows most commands. He adores children and other dogs. He’s also fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.

Did you have a Happy Halloween?! 🎃 Our Toy Story litter sure did! We started the day yesterday with a festive puppy yoga session at the where our costumed and adoptable furry friends finally nailed downward facing dog!

Don’t forget about our family-friendly Howl-oween event tomorrow where you’ll see even more of these cuties in costumes - if they tolerate it! Clancy may be small, but he is making big strides in his foster home with .ma . This tiny 9 pound poodle is just under one year old. He went from not really wanting to eat when he was staying at our Collective to being so excited about food that he benefitted from a slow feeder once he got to foster.

Potty training was completely new to Clancy when he came to us, but his foster figured out a schedule that works for him and now he is so close to mastering the concept.

In addition to learning the basics like potty training and “sit”, Clancy shows off his smarts with his love for puzzle toys. If food is involved, this little guy will figure out a way! His favorite toys are his ball and Lambchop plushie. He is BIG on snuggling and wants to be glued to his person whenever possible.
