Our goal is to ensure that every pet we encounter stays in--or finds-- a loving home. Educating pet owners and potential pet owners ensures that loving home lasts for the lifetime of the cat or dog. Being a pet owner is a serious responsibility. Pet owners need to provide regular veterinary care, shelter, opportunities for exercise, quality food, mental stimulation, routine vaccinations, training, city licenses, and more. I came to the shelter with a metacarpal fracture on my front right leg, and the vet says I need a splint, bandage, and some rest. The problem is, this place is really stressful for me, and it’s making it hard for me to heal.

What I really need is a peaceful, loving home where I can get better. I promise, I won’t cause any trouble! I’m calm, friendly, and I don’t even react when other dogs walk by my kennel.

1/6/25 Safe! Community we need your help. 5 very young pups were brought to us today. It was stated by the finder that they were found near Hwy 225 in our city. It appears that these babies have already suffered so much at such a young age. They are dehydrated, positive for hookworms and sores all over their little bodies. These babies need a hero. Our medical team has started treatments. This is no place for such young puppies, they are in need of a foster, rescue or an adopter that is able to provide the medical and TLC that they need. At Pasadena Animal Shelter, we care about people and pets. In fact, we assist more than 7,000 animals annually. As a function of the Pasadena Public Health Department, preventing the spread of disease is our number one mission. But we strive to achieve so much more. Our goal is to ensure that every pet we encounter stays in--or finds-- a loving home. Educating pet owners and potential pet owners ensures that loving home lasts for the lifetime of the cat or dog. Being a pet owner is a serious responsibility. Pet owners need to provide regular veterinary care, shelter, opportunities for exercise, quality food, mental stimulation, routine vaccinations, training, city licenses, and more.
