As a function of the Pasadena Public Health Department, preventing the spread of disease is our number one mission. But we strive to achieve so much more. Our goal is to ensure that every pet we encounter stays in--or finds-- a loving home. Educating pet owners and potential pet owners ensures that loving home lasts for the lifetime of the cat or dog. Being a pet owner is a serious responsibility. Pet owners need to provide regular veterinary care, shelter, opportunities for exercise, quality food, mental stimulation, routine vaccinations, training, city licenses, and more. 🚨EXPERIENCED FOSTER OR RESCUE NEEDED🚨

This mama came in on Friday pregnant and had her 7 babies over the weekend. Fortunately, she didn’t have to have her babies outside, but the shelter is still not the best environment for brand new pups. Mama is a bit nervous, so we are asking for an experienced foster or rescue to take this family in.

My friend got adopted, and while I’m happy for them, I can’t help but wonder… will I ever get my second chance? Here’s what I have to offer:

I’m Pancho, and I’d love to dance my way into your heart. Let’s laugh, have fun, and go on exciting adventures together! Whether it’s playing in the yard or cuddling under a blanket, I promise to keep you warm all winter long!

I have so much love to give because all I want in life is to be loved. I’m potty trained (no accidents here!) and always ready to be the best boy I can be. I was owner surrendered through no fault of my own, and now I’m feeling a bit stressed in the shelter environment.

💔 I may smile, but my eyes tell a different story...

Hi, I’m Penelope. I came into the shelter feeling so scared and alone. I didn’t know who to trust, and my heart was heavy with uncertainty. But after the shelter staff here worked with me, I’ve opened up and become a total love bug!

They say I’m super sweet, walk like a pro on a leash, and that I appear to like other dogs! I thought that being a good girl and working on my skills would help me find my family, but day after day, I’m still waiting and still hoping...

Now, I’m on the Urgent List, and time is running out. Every day feels like another chance slipping away. I’m just not sure how much longer I can hold on. Can you be the one to save me?

I’ve been lost for a while, hoping my owner or a new family would come and find me, and now I’m just looking for a place to call home.

But hey, don’t worry! I’ve been working hard on being a good girl—I’m friendly, playful, and I even know a few commands! I’m ready to be the best companion you’ve been searching for!

At Pasadena Animal Shelter, we care about people and pets. In fact, we assist more than 7,000 animals annually. So if you need us, or if you know of an animal that needs us, help is just a phone call away at 281-991-0602. As a function of the Pasadena Public Health Department, preventing the spread of disease is our number one mission. But we strive to achieve so much more. Our goal is to ensure that every pet we encounter stays in--or finds-- a loving home. Educating pet owners and potential pet owners ensures that loving home lasts for the lifetime of the cat or dog. Being a pet owner is a serious responsibility. Pet owners need to provide regular veterinary care, shelter, opportunities for exercise, quality food, mental stimulation, routine vaccinations, training, city licenses, and more.
