Crate’s are extremely effective for potty training and keeping our puppies safe from self-destructive behaviors. So as soon as your puppy is potty trained and/or grows up it seems the crate gets left behind. Crate’s do way more for our dog than just help them learn when/where to go the bathroom and limit opportunites from destroying your house. The crate provides clear boundaries, a task that rewards the dog for being calm and MOST IMPORTANTLY a place of their own that keeps them safe. When we take away the crate our dogs can become overstimulated desperately looking for something to always do and unsure of expectations.
