Luke is close to the finish line at his board and train program! In this video, Luke has learn to go in and out of a vehicle on command. His walking skills are improving significantly even if it's not perfect, he will get there as he learns to trust and reduce his anxiety. He is now officially crate trained and can stay in his crate for up to 6 hours (puppies will require more potty breaks). And my biggest proud moment in this training is that he has so much confidence and can enjoy being a puppy without his fear holding him back. Luke loves people and dogs but his anxiety would halt his positive association with them. Through confidence building, he happily enjoys getting love from strangers (always ensuring they ask for permission) and can play with other dogs (supervised). A common mistake that is done in crate training is forcing the dog inside. It may work at 8 weeks but not so much when they are 6 months or more. Remy is only 6 months old and is a rescue.
