Zoo zookeeper who worked closely with rhinoceroses. You may not own a rhino, but Joel also loves the smaller critters — including cats, dogs and birds — and the core philosophy of his store is built around nutrition. Tatum insists that he won't carry a product if his staff can't look you in the eye and tell you it's good for your pet, and he also prides himself on his passionate, knowledgeable and

approachable staff. Indeed, they actually remember your dog's name — it's like Cheers for pets. And pets are happy to come back, in part because the store also specializes in ultra-gentle grooming and will stop a session if the animal looks like it's freaking out. All the groomers participate in a program called Every Dog Has Its Day, which is pro bono grooming of animals in shelters around the city, thus increasing their chances of adoption. Now that's something to bark about!

Figured those with boarding dogs probably want an update

❣️We are NOT under evacuation at this time. We don’t think we will be, but we are prepared with crates and leads incase.

Two team members are staying the night to provide comfort for you, your pets, and us lol.

We have air purifiers and fans going to help with any smoke

In case we have to evacuate, we will update where we end up. The plan is to come to the Tatom house but there are too many variables and little fires starting to be sure. Hopefully it does not come to that! Rest assured I am obsessively checking the maps.

If you’ve had to evacuate and don’t have a place for your pets, call us and bring them in.

If you do have your pets safely, please make sure you have ID on them. Literally write it in sharpie on their collar or put some tape around it like an ID tag. The wind is scary, they may run out of fear.

Apologies for any typos, it’s been a day! Just got the little one down and time to try and sleep. Stay safe, we love y’all.
