**2,024 Days.**

That's how long our 5 longest resident dogs—Juno, Joseph, Luna, Henry, and Major Tom—have waited for a family to call their own.

Despite being spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and with an adoption fee of just $50, they’re still here, waiting. And we can't help but wonder—why?

These dogs are all unique. All full of love. All ready to give their hearts to someone who will choose them. But for reasons we don’t understand, they’ve been passed over time and time again.

Each day they stay here is another day spent longing for a family of their own. They’ve waited long enough.

Juno, Joseph, Luna, Henry, and Major Tom are waiting for you. Will you be the one to give them the happy ending they’ve been dreaming of?

Below you can click on the links to their profiles, share their stories, and help us make their **2,024 days** of waiting come to an end.

🐾 Community Announcement: Non-Domesticated Cat Policy in Development 🐾

Attention, community members:

We’ve received an increase in reports about non-domesticated cats causing disturbances in the area. To address this, our animal control team is working on a proactive, humane solution. We are developing a Non-Standard Behavioral Cat Policy to give these cats a second chance. 🐱✨

Instead of labeling these cats as nuisances, we’re seeking local farms or agricultural properties that could benefit from their natural pest-control abilities. This program aims to relocate non-domesticated cats to environments where their hunting instincts can be an asset, helping to avoid the alternative of euthanasia.

All cats involved in this program will be spayed or neutered before relocation to help manage the population humanely and responsibly.

If you own or manage farmland, a barn, or similar property and could use help with rodent control, we’d love to hear from you! Together, we can turn a challenge into a positive outcome for these cats and our community.

Stay tuned for updates, or reach out to us at (509) 545-3740 if you’d like to get involved. Thank you for your support in making this program a success! 💛🐾
