Some stories stay with you forever❤️

This is Dash — also known as Beauty. When he arrived, he was so sick we truly couldn’t tell if his eyes were even there. He needed medication, monitoring, and gentle, consistent care while his tiny body fought to heal.

This is where foster homes change everything. Sick kittens like Dash don’t just survive in foster — they thrive. Having someone there around the clock to notice small changes, give meds on time, offer comfort, and respond immediately makes all the difference.

In foster, Dash healed. He eventually needed one eye removed, and through it all he was safe, loved, and never alone. Somewhere along the way, his foster mom fell in love — and made it official with an adoption. Now she’s sending us updates about how happy he is 🥰

Dash’s glow-up is a direct result of foster care. This is what fosters do. They take the most vulnerable animals and give them a real chance at life. If you’ve ever wondered whether fostering matters — this is your answer 🐾

Our online applications are not working at the moment. So, if you’ve applied to foster recently and haven’t heard back please stop in to pick up an application or to speak to our Foster Coordinator 🐾

We’re honestly scratching our heads over **Ragin Cajun**.

He’s new, he’s adorable, and he’s shaped like someone took a very good dog and accidentally set him on short-leg mode. Low rider body, happy grin, and a personality that feels like a walking mood boost.

Despite the big name, there’s nothing “ragin” about him — he’s just a goofy, lovable little dude who makes people laugh without even trying. Pocket pitty? Bulldog mix? Frenchie vibes? We’ll let you decide.

Ragin Cajun is **neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to head home**. He’s the perfect size, full of good energy, and built for companionship, couch time, and daily smiles.

Adoption fee: $50

We have a feeling the right person just hasn’t seen him yet… and once they do, it’s game over 🐾

The moment she saw her humans, her growls turned into desperate meows. According to our reports, out of the 3,000+ intakes we’ve had in the last year, Suki is one out of 329 to be redeemed by her owners.

If your pet goes missing, please file a report on our Lost & Found Pet Reporting System https://www.tricitiesanimalservices.com/lost-found , always check your local shelter, and make sure your pets are microchipped — it could make all the difference in bringing them home 🐾

🎄✨ AFTER 501 DAYS… CHALET IS HOME ✨🎄

This is a post we’ve been waiting to write.
Our longest-stay resident, Chalet, has officially been ADOPTED 🏡🩷

Chalet arrived at Tri-Cities Animal Services on 7/30/2024 and spent 501 days waiting for her person. Day after day behind kennel bars — through seasons, holidays, and countless hopes — she waited.

This past weekend, Chalet went out on a “weekend foster” and has been foster failed (the BEST kind) by one of our very own volunteers — their second foster fail this year!

And the best part?

Chalet will never spend another Christmas in a kennel🎄

Now she’s living the life she always deserved — stretched out on the couch, glowing in front of the Christmas tree, and basking in the sunshine of her big fenced yard.

This is why fostering matters.

This is why patience matters.

This is why we do what we do 🥲

Welcome home, Chalet 🩷🐾
