My mom took this video before we started this morning. If you have been to any of our events you know she is there and works hard to keep things running smooth. Today wasn’t an exception, we had a fun filled team penning for our first time followed by an in & by sorting. Thanks to all that made it a success. My mom (Renay), Shannon Hudson and Sam for working the gates, TJ Bryson for running with my crazy ideas, and all the riders who show up and ride. Plus we had some amazing BBQ from Stephanie Armata! 2025 is going to be a great year at the ranch.

As we welcome 2025, we reflect on a year filled with growth, adventure, and cherished memories. From early mornings in the barn to late nights under the stars, every moment has been a reminder of the beauty in hard work and the joy of pursuing our passions.

2024… What a year! Casey officially took the leap into full-time horse training, and TJ continues to bounce back and forth to the office in Bakersfield while embracing every adventure we can fit into our schedule. Together, we’ve celebrated wins, learned from challenges, and made every moment count.

Here’s to a new year of endless possibilities, open pastures, and the unwavering support of our amazing community. Thank you for being part of our journey—you make this all worthwhile!

Really fun day at our sorting practice today, we had a full house!

We have our new years penning and In & By sorting coming up this Wednesday. The penning is full but if you know any of your sorting teams ***please feel free to send our way ***(yes you can still sign up day of)

Today we hosted our very first Round Robin Sorting, and it was an absolute blast! 🎉 Huge congratulations to our top riders:

If you’re looking for something different, join us for In and By Sorting! In this exciting variation, cattle are held in an alley, and you’ll sort odd-numbered cattle into one pen and even-numbered cattle into another. It’s fun, fast-paced, and open to everyone—no limit on the number of teams, and you can even sign up the day of the event!

Don’t fret, we are still on for tomorrow. We got some good rain here at the LPR, but the arenas have held up perfectly and the sun is shining, and we are ready for you tomorrow! ☀️🐴🐮

The forecast is showing 0% of precipitation all day, so we are good to go! Bundle up in layers so you can peel them off as the day goes on.
