little Miss Pig Pig is off the bottle and ready for a forever home!! Pig Pig is a KuneKune pig, she was the runt & rejected by her mother. She was bottle fed from birth and is smaller then her siblings but not by much. Pig Pig is like a puppy, she comes to her name, doesn’t run off, follows me everywhere, loves to snuggle, loves swimming or her baby pool, LOVES to play with dogs, great with small children, knows the word no very well lol and will sit at my glass back door with my dogs begging to come in! Definitely not a reptile 🐢 but this piglet 🐽🐖 was rejected by her mother. She came to the rescue only 4 hours after she was born with her belly cord still attached. Her name is Spot, she has been such a blast for us all to rehabilitate 💗! Spot will be missed. Spot is a Kune Kune pig & will be up for adoption Early August.

Update on tortoise that came in with an extreme case of shell rot. The bottom of her rotting shell is slowly falling off which is great news it’s providing a new clean surface to eventually epoxy as a complete synthetic shell. All signs of Infection are gone after 4 months of daily antibiotics injection & daily scrubbing and wrapping! her complete journey will take years but with the right exotic vet, medication and extreme TLC she is thriving. All medications used must be prescribed by a veterinary. I’m posting the meds that saved her life because it was trial and error so now we know these work for she’ll rot. Medication used in comments below.

So I bought a batch of hissing cockroaches for the Bearded dragons & box turtle but this one ☝🏻 well was eaten only from the neck down…….. it’s been around 4 1/2 hours now & he is still very much so alive! Ewwwwww 🐜

Found what I thought were fleas but were actually ticks on the rescue bunnies this morning….needless to say my entire rescue has been de-bugged & bathed lol not what I planned for today but blessed regardless. FIY the bunnies actually enjoyed there baths 🛁, the dogs & kittens not so much!

Due to a “Bomb Cyclone” and days of severe flooding in my small town in California we have almost every enclosure completely flooded or under water. All the rescue animals have been successfully evacuated. 38 tortoises in total countless other exotics but no lives lost thankfully. Praying for the safety of my community members.

This is my garden room AKA reptile rehabilitation center for sick & injuried animals lol. My rescue is currently full to capacity….& then some. As of Wednesday I had 7 in critical care but thankfully 4 have been cleared healthy again and back out in heated enclosures. 2 of the 4 left in intensive care came in with respiratory infection but only have a few more days of injections, 1 has shell rot BAD but is doing amazing and the 4th is one of the babies from the dog attack that is also thriving. It’s a lot of work, time & money but worth it all! Coming soon a 10 year old syringe fed bearded dragon with failure to thrive after his owner passed away. I have dozens of amazing & healthy reptiles & other up for adoption so please adopt before you buy not only do they deserve good homes but rescues like mine can’t continue to help even the most critical if we have no room. All of November & December adoption fee’s will be waived upon approval of a adoption. PM me for an adoption application, we have more then just tortoises.

UPDATE: Severe case of shell rot
This is so horrific, at the vet now I’ll post what he says. 6 year old Sulcata brought in due to growing to large for enclosure. No mention of any health issues by previous owners. I do heath checks on every animal brought into my rescue but this one shocked me. I’m thinking this tortoise will have a resin underbelly in a few hours.

UPDATE: 2 of the babies did not make it however #3 is doing amazing
These 8 month old shell babies were all surrendered today mauled by a dog 😢, please make sure no dog or cat can get to your young tortoises. Prayers for these cuties
