Welcome Cherry 🍒 to BCR!!

Cherry has a bit of a back story to her and how she came to be with us. Regardless of how it all came to be, Cherry is happy, getting healthier and decompressing properly, thanks to her amazing foster, . Cherry was pulled from .

Cherry is estimated to be young, approx 3-4 years old, spayed, up to date on all vaccines and house broken. Cherry has prey drive so no cats or smaller animals. At this time, we believe Cherry to do best in a no animal home or someone that has the means and ability to separate her from any resident dogs. Cherry is overcoming some stressors that caused her to loose weight. She is ravenous. We are diligently working on getting Cherry’s weight up with the advice from our vet.

Cherry’s foster has also employed the help of a trainer , to ease Cherry back into a home environment and to introduce Cherry to the resident dog.

Cherry is one of the friendliest dogs I have ever met.

‼️ FOSTER NEEDED ‼️ Some of you may have seen the urgent post last night (swipe to see) regarding this dog. The woman who took her to keep her safe contacted us as she still needs a rescue to step up. We cannot due so without a foster. We do not know any info on her as of yet except they think she about 5/6 yrs old and has been super sweet and a happy dog! We do not know if she is dog or cat friendly or child friendly yet. Our girl Esme nka Jovie had her visit in Whippany today. This was to address her legs that seem to be deformed for a lack of a better word right now. Our next step is a series of X-rays the surgeon is requesting that will be done at our vet and once that is done, the surgeon hopes to have a better understanding what could be causing this. They just don’t have a good gauge right now because she’s still so small. Jovie is mobile, she’s not in pain, and eats, drinks normal and acts like a regular puppy and boy is she adorable! 💠 FOSTER NEEDED FOR WINSTON…Winston was rescued 4 years ago and has been in the same home the entire time. Sadly, he needs to be rehomed due to unforeseen circumstances. His rescue will not take him back, so we are going to help Winston and his family. He is a laid back boy, enjoys the company of everyone including children of all ages. He can be dog selective so he does best in a home without other dogs. Winston enjoys walks, has a pretty set routine and is easy going. He likes to be in bed by 730 and will assist you during the day if you work from home 😆 He is the perfect gentleman and will make a wonderful family companion. 🚨 FOSTER NEEDED 🚨 We are finding ourselves in these situations too often lately. If you would like to foster, please understand PATIENCE, TIME AND DECOMPRESSION is needed. Otto has been let down TWICE. He lasted 3 days in one home and an hour in another. Otto is extremely scared and nervous when he first arrives. He is just scared. Otto’s owner died and the family couldn’t care for him. His entire world as he has known it for the last 6 yrs was turned upside down. Otto is a very sweet, gentle and lovable dog. He is dog friendly. He loves people and that’s all he wants to do-be by your side. There has to be someone who is willing to give him a chance. Once he settles, he is truly amazing. Method Man was at an inner city shelter, languishing and deteriorating. The moment we met him, we saw what a beautiful soul he was and we pulled him knowing he was destined for a beautiful life. Method quickly went from the streets of Paterson to your TV screen on in the blink of an eye, and was a hit…we were flooded with interest!

The perfect family sent in their application and when Method Man met his fursister Stella, it was love at first sight! We would like to thank our partners and for supporting us with Method Man’s care. Thank you to amazing and tireless volunteers of Paterson for putting Method on our radar.
