Jeff has been an integral part of BCR for several years now and is also the forefather of ! Jeff puts in the blood, sweat and tears for these dogs and we wouldn’t be who we are today without him 💖

Christmas has come early for Joan (now known as Harley)! 🎄

We are overjoyed to announce that Joan has officially been adopted by her amazing forever family, ! 💖

Joan came to us after we pulled her and her brother John from a neglect situation in Newark. When carried them out of the house, it was the very first time either of them had ever felt sunlight on their faces.

With the incredible dedication, patience, and love of their foster, , Joan and John learned how to be dogs—to trust, to play, and to feel safe. Because of that commitment, Joan’s happy ending has arrived.

Now Harley gets to experience her very first Christmas in a real home, surrounded by love, warmth, and family. 🎁🐾

Welcome home, sweet girl. We are so proud of you and know you have a lifetime of love to give—and receive.

The puppies are 6 weeks old!!! 🎉 That means its time to get your applications in!!! They will be getting their 3rd dewormer and 1 distemper tomorrow! They are so much fun! They are playing, finding their voice, eating on their own! They all are so sweet and snuggly! They will be ready to go right after Christmas! We know that mama Peggy is a tiny pocket pitty, but we aren't 100% sure who dad is, so we dont know how big they will be. Right now we have 2 very chunky boys Griff and Toretto. Everyone else is about 5-6lbs. We would love for them to go to a home with another dog or access to other dogs to keep the social. Theyvare puppies, so they are good with all. No they are not house train or crate trained. They haven't been outside yet, havent walked on a leash. They all will be getting fixed at 6 months so around May. Everyone will have the first 2 dhpp, bordetella, deworming and microchipped before they leave. THEY WILL NOT BE ADOPTED OUT IN PAIRS! Please reach out if you have any questions! Everyone but Toretto is available for adoption.

Meet Buddy, a sweet 2-year-old boy who joined us as a foster after his owner suddenly passed away. Despite everything he’s been through, Buddy’s spirit shines bright. ✨

This happy guy loves to play, enjoys being around kids, and does great with other dogs — he’d truly thrive with a canine buddy at home. He’s also said to be okay with cats and has been an absolute gentleman as a house guest.

Buddy is a smart, eager-to-learn pup with so much love to give. 💚❤️
