SEEING SPOTS!?

It's that time of the year again,
🪰 Black flies are out and in full force! 🪰

Our doctors are recommending using Vectra 3D for in conjunction with your pets monthly prescription flea and tick prevention. Vectra 3D is a topical that repels and kills flea, ticks, mosquitos, like, mites (excluding mange mites), biting & sand flies.

It remains effective after bathing and swimming!

You can pick up Vectra 3D from our office directly!

1. Her favorite color is pink 🌸

2. She has traveled to 25 US states and to Canada✈️

3. Her dad won the best of breed at Westminster in 2007🏆

4. She has worked as a therapy dog in 2 schools, a library, assisted living, a retirement home and our office.💕 🦮

5. She has competed in obedience, agility, dock diving, and conformation dog shows earning titles in all of these events. At almost 14 years old, she enjoys her retirement gig working with her human “mom” and friends every day.🎖️🩺

Bonus fact: contrary to popular belief, P stands for Pystol and not Perfect.
(Could have fooled us!)

P works hard here at PPVC as a training partner, lunch date buddy, staff moral support, and occasionally, if you’re lucky enough she’ll even deliver your pets medications to you at the front desk.

We love having P as part of the PPVC family. 🐾

-Providing background noise, such as a radio, television, or sound machine.

-Using a thunder shirt to apply gentle pressure to help mimic the comfort of a hug.

🎃🐈‍⬛It's Friday the 13th and today we are showing our appreciation for black cats! 🎃🐈‍⬛

While they are often unfairly portrayed as having an association to witchcraft, the only spell we've seen black cats cast is one over our hearts. Sadly, black cats tend to be the most overlooked cats in shelters and have to wait much longer than cats with colors to find their furever homes.

Here are a few beliefs from other parts of the world that find black cats to be lucky! 🍀
-In the English midlands, a black cat may be considered a good-luck wedding gift.
-In Scotland, there is a superstition that if a black cat shows up at your door, it will bring you wealth.
-In Wales there is a folkloric tradition that says black cats are good for keeping disease away from the home.
