Spent the morning running errands with Marley and Dani.

These girls are 11 months old (Aspen/Marshall 2024) and are beautifully behaved. Both have had training with Mesa Point Kennels—Dani for obedience, and Marley for NAVDHA Natural Ability prep (pointing quail, tracking pheasant, water retrieving).

And while their formal training has been VERY different, the results in their behavior and demeanor are the same.

These girls could travel anywhere. They are friendly, well behaved, and well adjusted. I don’t worry about being distracted as I drive (they stay where they are told, looking out the windows or napping), leaving them in the truck (they won’t scratch or chew), loading or unloading them in public (they won’t charge the door, try to jump out, or run off), or introducing them to new environments or people (they won’t panic or act rudely by jumping, sniffing, etc).

For Weims to behave this calmly, they need good training based in positive reinforcement and kindness. Then, owners must consistently reinforce that training, by the dogs being a part of the family—plenty of time inside with love, affection, and insistence on good manners. And—PLENTY of outdoor exercise with mental stimulation.

Weimaraners are incredibly intelligent, intuitive, and versatile. 🤍

We are very proud of the breeding model that we inherited from our partner/mentor at Full Circle Weimaraners.

We don’t keep dogs in kennels, rather, all of our breeding females and males are placed in homes. They are beloved companion and hunting dogs, most with specialized training across multiple disciplines.

We only breed a female three to four times, once a year, allowing a healthy recovery period. Then, they are retired. This allows our females to live full and happy lives with their people.

When Gemma retired after three litters for Full Circle/Hunt and Home, she retired to our oldest daughter’s home.

If you know Gemma, she’s affectionate, bouncy, full of life, and wants lots of attention. Rhian is calm and quiet and thoughtful. They compliment each other well. Gemma spends her days loving on Rhian and is very popular among her pickle ball friends.

Rhian had Christmas photos done for her business, Grazin’ Tables Charcuterie, and of course, Gemma had to be a part.

Beautiful girls! 💜🤍

Update: SOLD

Leo has that sweet, silly personality for which Weims are so beloved.

Alex, at Mesa Point Kennels, has loved working with him, and sent me this message this morning, “He is the perfect sweet, calm and goofy. I was asking him to lay down this morning and he kept rolling over instead 😂 I’ve never asking him to roll over before.”

This litter has produced some beautiful, intelligent pups. We are pretty proud of them!

P.S. I know a snuggly little puppy is always a desired Christmas gift…but think about the benefits of an older pup with training!! 🤍

Marley is from our January 2024 Aspen/Marshall litter. She’s currently prepping for the NAVHDA Natural Ability test with Mesa Point Kennels. After just a couple of weeks on birds, she is showing our breed’s natural inclination for bird hunting. So exciting to see!

The Boys of Summer are making GREAT progress in their puppy development training at Mesa Point Kennels. Only two of those beautiful boys are available.

Available: "Liam" 12 weeks old

Liam is a classically handsome male, with a brave, confident, and adventurous spirit. He is extremely quiet, often sitting back and observing his surroundings. Very lovable and people pleasing, he would make an excellent hunt prospect or companion dog for a family. He is a favorite in this litter!

Our puppies are healthy, active, strong, pups who spend each day free-ranging with the older dogs, learning manners and how to move their young bodies over and through diverse obstacles. We find this allows our pups to grow strong bones and great muscle mass. Not only that, their curious young minds soak in the diverse stimuli of their outdoor environment, creating confident, versatile dogs. Their indoor living space introduces them to early house training.

Gabby’s seven week old puppies are enjoying their evening play time. 🤍

Every morning and evening they spend at least two, if not three, hours outside in the yard playing. They go to their new homes happy, healthy, and well-adjusted.

At six weeks, our puppies still enjoy formula-soaked food twice a day. They have constant access to dry food and fresh water, but the formula gives them the extra calorie boost they need to grow healthy and strong.

After an hour outside running in the grass and playing, the pups are always happy to race to our call to come back in. They know it means dinner time!
