I’d like to introduce to everyone the newest member of our family, Coventry’s Not Today Witch, Gretel! She is bred by and co owned with Karen Burgazli. She was lovingly and expertly raised by Tiffany Sikalas. This little puppy has so much potential with such a little spit fire personality! Thank you to all involved!

With Spring finally here we’ll be up and about doing more dog stuff! 🌸 🐶
Lettie is blowing coat and hasn’t been trimmed besides feet and ears since Pomeranian Nationals back in March.

Today at the Shawangunk Kennel Club Fast CAT event, Lettie had her first ever runs! She’s still a little hesitant to go ballistic on the bag like she usually does at home, but she’s decently zippy for a dog her size of not quite 5 pounds! She got 14.48 seconds and 14.70 seconds in a 100 yard dash chasing plastic bags with me at the end waiting for her. We’re going to take her time getting her titles for Fast CAT but I think she enjoyed herself!

Today at the Holyoke Kennel Club show in W. Springfield, MA, Sophie and I went into the Rally Excellent class for the first time together and rocked it! I honestly forgot to check what our score was but I was so happy with how peppy she was haha.

Pictured at a few days shy of 9 months old and just starting her first heat. Should be interesting to see her mature a bit more with this first heat cycle!

Not to be outdone, Lettie showed in the 6-9 month bitch puppy class at Sweepstakes at the American Pomeranian Nationals today. She did very well in her class and while she didn’t place, she ended up making it amongst the final half selection! Very proud of my girls today.

New title alert! Sophie earned her Novice Fast (NF) title today! She did another day of 2/3 qualifying runs.
She got 2 qualifying runs in Fast CAT of 13.879 seconds/14.74 mph and 12.375 seconds/16.53 mph. It was pretty cold today and still had some snow on the ground this morning and the wind was brutal! So not the best running conditions but she still had a blast. She also earned a trial award of Fastest Female Pomeranian for Fast CAT today!

Sophie did a phenomenal job today getting another repeat day of 2/3 qualifying runs in agility! She was SO close to getting all 3. Maybe we’ll have better luck tomorrow!
She also had two successful Fast CAT runs at 11.581 seconds/17.6 mph and 11.824 seconds/17.3 mph.
Hopefully she gets her Novice FAST title tomorrow!

**Expectation Management**

I am in New Albany, Indiana covering Fast CAT and Agility. Halie Longobardi and I shot 19,000 pictures yesterday. There were enough hours in the day to take pictures, walk Reese, eat two meals, get those 19,000 images into properly labeled folders and go to bed. That will be the schedule through Sunday so email communications will be at best slow and at worst non-existent through Monday. If anybody wants a job, drop me a line!

Day 1 of agility at Pom Nationals, Sophie got a Qualifying Run in 2/3 of her classes! She also did 2 runs of Fast CAT today where she ran 12.156 seconds/16.83 mph and 11.98 seconds/17.07 mph. Pretty zippy for a 10 year old girl!

We’re here at Pomeranian Nationals! Sophie is entered in all 4 days of agility for the APC National. Wish us luck!

I'm hoping it's safe to say that for the 2021 Fast Cat year, Sophie finished the AKC Pomeranian rankings listed as the #1 Bitch Pomeranian and the #7 Pomeranian, with her average of 3 fastest runs listed as 18.71 mph. Not bad for a ten year old little girl who started only in March!

DOUBLE DIGITS!
Sophie turns 10 years old today! I say this every year and am still amazed that it holds true year after year, but she truly doesn’t act a day over 2.
My first ever Pomeranian, I’ll love you forever Sophie.
