Labor Day weekend is coming up, and you know what that means. Back to School! These pups have already had their class pictures taken and can’t wait to share them with you! This is the back to school litter all featuring names that take a twist on all of the subjects you’re either learning or learned! Hello there people of the internets! My name is Maddie and I’m a 4 month old lab mix! I’ve got some real interesting coloring, almost like a champagne, in some light my coat leans more sandy and other it leans more silver. Just let me stare into your eyes for a second and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with me. I totally enjoy playing with my doggy pals as well as with people and toys. I love going out and adventuring. This awesome boy Mack cannot wait to meet you tonight during open hours! This loving guy is about 5 months old and was rescued from Louisiana after being found tied to a pole 🥺. Hes a Doberman mix and currently weights about 35lbs. He’s a friendly and loving boy who loves attention and playing with other dogs! He’s would love a family to call his furever!

It might be a little late for breakfast but this sweet girl Shortstack can be loved all day long! She’s a little shy at first when meeting new people, but after some time she’s just the cuddliest and loving pup around. She’s fully grown and weights 24lbs! She gets along great with other dogs and people. Come and meet her now during open hours at our adoption center in Pawling!

Happy International Dog Day! We want to introduce you to one of our newest friends here at Happy Life. Meet Jerome, Jerome was unfortunate to land in a kill shelter down south with a planned euthanasia date of today, thankfully our friends were able to help get him out of the shelter and make his way to NY! He’s now scheduled to get neutered instead tomorrow and will be up to find his forever home this week! This boy is amazing, loves to play and wrestle with other dogs, great with people and kids. He just needs an active family to expend his energy.
Unfortunately for many dogs over crowding of shelters and euthanasia is still a reality. You can help dogs in need by adopting from rescues and shelters. Can’t adopt? There are so many other ways to help! Donate, foster, volunteer! These are all the great ways you can make a difference and help dogs like Jerome!

It’s furever Friday and boy is it a big one this week! After 8 months of searching our boy Roberto found his furever family! We want to wish Roberto, all the other animals, and the people that adopted them a Happy Life! We can’t wait to see who finds their furever home this weekend! We’ve got 2 events again this weekend! Saturday 8/17 at the PetSmart in Poughkeepsie from 11-2 and on Sunday 8/18 catch us at the Hopewell Animal Hospital Open house from 11-2!
