Here’s a good before and after of one our cattle lameness patients last week. This is a very common hereditary condition in cattle called corkscrew claw. This condition affects the outside claw of one or both hind limbs causing the outer hoof wall to overgrow itself leading to under run heel and eventually a nasty sole ulcer pictured in the second photo.
