Hello to all of our followers! We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather we are having today! We would like to announce that as of today we will no longer be offering our training services or taking in any training dogs. We will continue to offer boarding services for your dogs. Our boarding rate is $18 per day per dog and as always, your dog will need to be up to date on all vaccinations including Bordetella(kennel cough). Thank you!

Hello to all our friends and followers! We hope you are surviving the heat and enjoying your summer. We are currently booked for boarding and training until the beginning of September. Unfortunately, this means we will not be taking any reservations for boarding or training for the rest of July or throughout August. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you! Hello and welcome to Fetch This Kennels page! The following is our 2021 information about our kennel and what services we offer our customers. At Fetch This Kennels we specialize in bird dog training, all breed obedience training, and boarding. Starting July 1st all training will be $700 per month which includes training, boarding, and the cost of birds for gun dog training. Also, starting July 1st, the boarding rate is $18 per day, per dog. If your dog is on a special diet or you would like to keep them on their own food, you are more than welcome to bring their food with them. All dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations including kennel cough (Bordetella) and must have proof of these vaccines upon arrival. This is not only for the safety of your dog but for the safety of all the dogs at our kennel. Our hours are Monday-Saturday 9am to 7pm and Sunday's by appointment only. We are closed all major holidays which include Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke in dogs is very serious. Please be aware of your dogs activity during this heat. Be sure they have plenty of water and shade if they can't be in air conditioning. The safest place for your dog is at home. Don't take them in the back of a pickup or even inside the car during the summer!

When the weather is warm and humid, dogs dissipate body heat primarily by panting. Excessive panting may be one of the earliest signs that your dog is beginning to overheat! If you are worried your dog may have heat stroke, take the following steps:

• Stop any activity and move somewhere cool
• Offer a small amount of cool water
• Place your dog in front of a fan or air conditioner
• Use wet towels or a hose to soak your dog with tepid water – NOT ice water!

If your dog continues to show signs of heat stroke despite taking these measures, seek veterinary attention immediately! Heat stroke is treatable if caught early, but it can be rapidly fatal if left untreated.

Happy Halloween! Please remember to keep your pets safe while the trick-or-treating is happening. Pets can sneak out the open front door and be gone before you know it. Keep them in a crate in a secured room so they don't get scared or excited and run away! Happy Haunting!

We want to thank all of our followers, clients, and friends who have called to check on us and offer help in the past few days. There was a range fire in our area, thankfully our property and kennel were not directly threatened. There was another storm coming in and the fire fighters worked hard to be sure they had the fire under control before the wind came. We were able to watch the air tankers drop fire retardant on the fire line and it was truly an amazing sight. What a blessing to have men and women who put the safety of others before their own.

Hey everyone! Did you know that more dogs run away or end up in shelters on the 4th of July than any other day of the year? Please keep your dogs inside, in a crate or in a bedroom if possible. They don't understand why all the big loud noises are happening and even a well trained dog can bolt out the door without warning.
