All of our colorful foals came from one of our three Quarter Horse mares. The first mare we bought was a cremello Quarter Horse named Crystal Blue Persuasion. She was the dam of our some of our previous spotlights, Dream A Lil Dream and Hi Handsome. A year later, we added two more cremello Quarter Horse mares to our breeding program. One of those mares was Shasta, who gave us several great foals including this week’s spotlight, C**t Forty-Five CCR (Fire An Ice x Shasta). C**t hit the ground in 2001 and started winning in 2004. Much like his siblings, this stunner excelled in the western ring. His sister, Dream A Lil Dream was foaled the same year and both went on to shine in western pleasure. While Dream went under the guidance of Jody Strand, C**t went into training with Bill Porcher and went Top Ten at US Nationals in the Half-Arabian Western Pleasure Futurity. Both Candace and Dave went on to show C**t and garner championships in the AOTR divisions, while Bill earned Open championships. Eventually, Candace and Dave sold C**t and he went into training with Randy Sullivan. Throughout his extensive career, C**t Forty-Five CCR had many local wins and regional championships, as well as, a US National and Scottsdale Top Ten. Most recently, he has carried his latest owner Ashley Lounsberry around the youth ring, under the guidance of Randy Sullivan. We love to see our babies all grown up!
