Felix was rescued by PALs as a stray and joined the cafe in February 2024. He is playful (with toys, jumping on walkers or human backs), loves adventures (in cat backpacks, jumping on cabinets) and likes to be held (on his terms, of course). Felix has had numerous “almost” adoptions, but none came to fruition through no fault of his own.
Most cats with FIV live long, healthy lives with the right nutrition and regular vet checks. FIV is only transmissible among cats and it is primarily spread through deep bite wounds in the wild. Felix gets along fabulously with other cats and has done well with children who have visited the cafe.

Dolores has been at the cafe for about two months with her friend Speedy. She is on the shyer side and has been slower to integrate into the cafe. Dolores claimed her safe spot in a cat tree in a smaller room. This past week she started poking her head out of the room and yesterday she fully explored the main cafe area as seen in photos here.
We are so proud of Dolores for finding the courage to explore. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to try to try to build confidence in the cats, especially the shyer ones. Dolores and Speedy have been approved for adoption and will be going home together this summer.
