The destruction caused by is vast and challenging to understand, and the true magnitude of this 1000 year event is not yet fully grasped.

Milo was larger than what I had anticipated 😅, but his exceptional sweetness allowed me to make an exception to my size limit with ease. His affectionate nature was evident when he rested his head on my shoulder during his blow dry 🥹💜

His owner was thrilled with his new haircut, which made him look like a dapper young man! ✂️🐶🙂

PUPPIES! 😍 At 10 weeks old, Lucy and Gibbs had their first grooming appointment and excelled. 🏆 Their pet parent understands the benefits of early grooming and has been acclimating them to grooming tools since they were born. I’ll see these two again in 6 weeks! 💜🐶👍

A little information from my friend, my client, and my personal veterinarian Dr Johnson at Dunwoody Animal Medical Center about the “mystery” respiratory illness that the media has been reporting about.

How am I handling it at the salon?

First off you’re already in a pretty good position because I am a one on one groomer! Precautions I’m taking:
1) I have ramped up additional sanitation. Tub, tables,& kennels are disinfected between every client.
2) Brushes, combs, blades , etc have always been disinfected between clients
3) Medify Air purification system in use (it has been since the beginning of COVID 🙂)

What am I asking of you?

1)PLEASE do not bring your dog to the salon if there is ANY signs of respiratory illness.
2)Please pick up your dog as soon as you get your call/text. This will help me eliminate pets being here at the same time. You are welcome to wait in my driveway at your estimated pick up time.
3)If you would like to cancel your appointment out of an abundance of caution please give at least 48 hours notice. Less than 48 hour notice will result in a charged of 50% of your grooming costs. If you cancel with less than a 24 hour notice you will be required to pay for your grooming in full. (Please let me know if you need a copy of your signed contract)

I have been monitoring this illness for months. There is no need to panic. Just be smart about limiting your dog’s exposure.

Certainly no secret I gotta soft spot for the seniors! 🥹💜 Cody first visit to The Fuzzy Dawg! As a super senior he couldn’t handle the stress at a big box grooming salon anymore. Glad his parents found me. He’s a gentleman who deserves a nice calm relaxing spa day. 🐶✂️💜

15 years ago today The Fuzzy Dawg Pet Salon opened its doors to my very first clients. 💜
3 different locations and lots of ups and downs over the years shaped me into the business owner I am today. Over all these years one thing remained consistent.. my favorite part of my job is the relationships I have built with my clients & their dogs. Thank you everyone for trusting me with your beloved pets! Cheers to the next 15! 😃💜🥂

I’ve been dreaming about General a lot lately. Last night in my dream he was at the old storefront with me barking and doing his happy old man bounce. It was a bitter sweet. I didn’t want to wake up. 🥹💜 However, this morning a gut punch of missing him hit and was really difficult. I had to compose myself and clean up a bit before each client arrived. 🥺💔

Then Dash came through the door.. At 15 1/2 years old (the same age as General when he passed) Dash is one of my absolute favorite dogs to groom. Even through I know he has aches and pains he is still a dream to groom. It was really good timing to see Dash. 😊

I’ve always had a soft spot for seniors but General taught me so much about how to provide the absolute best care and how to have endless patience with my senior clients.

Missing you big time today General. Thanks for sending Dash to see me. 🫶

About 6 months ago I started using a new line of products. Shniff Pet Care was created by a groomer for groomers. The facial fluff is the best face product I have used in all my years of grooming. And the scents!?!?…. Omg! 🤤 April Fresh Downy leaves the dogs smelling like fresh laundry. 🧺 Orange sherbet reminds me of summer. ☀️🍦 BUT Fruit Loops (yes the cereal 😋) is my favorite. Smells soooo good. 😊💜 I hope you have been enjoying them as much as me.

Like many dogs adopted during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Diego, didn’t get to experience many new people or places. 😔Many of these dogs, like Diego, developed fear aggression. Understandably Diego’s pet parents were nervous about his behavior during the grooming process. Some of you may know we lost Oskar suddenly to bloat back in November. I kept it to myself for the most part & really only shared his passing with clients who asked about him.

I was thinking today that I really need to work a little harder on my social media presence. 🤔 Then just like that.. cue the deer 😂🦌 They came and went several times and cleaned me out of bird seed. Don’t worry though the birds have a couple feeders the deer can’t reach. 😊
