Not sure how this sweet girl keeps being over looked! Silky’s other kitten friends (Tiny, Blair and Nimbo) have all been adopted and will soon go their new homes. Silky is so affectionate and playful! She was surrendered to us last week. She is 5-6 months old and was spayed and received a Rabies and first FVRCP vaccination on Monday (January 13th). She is FIV/FeLV negative. Silky came from a home with children, dogs and other cats. She settled in here at the rescue so quickly. She’s the first kitty to greet me at the door. She loves treats and to play with toys! Please share so we can find Silky a home!

As many of you know, we rescued Cash after he had been purchased by a slaughter company. Cash (formerly known as Allstar Partner) was a Harness Racehorse from 2013-2021 (he won just under 1 million dollars during his career). Last year, he was sold at an auction and was set to travel to another country for slaughter. Thankfully, through the help of another rescue, we were able to get him out before he shipped. Over this last year, Cash had multiple health scares concerning his left leg due to injuries from racing. While he is currently doing very well, his veterinarian is recommending proceeding with surgery. On February 6th, Cash will have a screw placed into his subchondral bone cysts. This will hopefully stop the growth of the cyst and allow him to be more comfortable. Cash will need to be fully stall rested for 6 weeks (after 3 weeks he can walk around more). We are looking for 8-10 round pen panels so we can construct him his very all stall and have appropriate distance from direct contact with the other horses to hopefully eliminate any possible injuries/keep him calm and comfortable. Cash is an amazing horse and we hope to do everything possible to allow him to live out a long retirement here with the rescue!

These two kitties were surrendered to the rescue due to no fault of their own. Silky (black, female) is around 5-6 months old. Tiny (white and black, female) is around 12 weeks old. I will be contacting Mountain View to schedule their spays and vaccines and they will be ready for adoption! Please message me or comment below for more info/adoption applications! 💗

Two new arrivals!

These little kittens were found outside in Pembroke. I will hold these kittens for 5 days to ensure they are not owned by someone. Proof of ownership is required. After that time period, I will be scheduling them for spay/neuters and vaccines and start accepting adoption applications. Both of these kittens have upper respiratory infections and we will start antibiotics tomorrow. Both have been dewormed and started on flea and tick prevention after arriving at the rescue. The calico is female and the gray kitten is a male. Estimated around 8 weeks of age.

We are so appreciative to everyone who contributed! We received cat litter, cat/kitten food, beds, litter boxes, cat toys, cat carrier, etc. These donations help us continue rescuing cats in need. These three kittens just received the best Christmas gift.. a home together! The sweetest family came to meet them today and each of their kids picked a kitten 🥹
We are keeping the kittens until Ellie’s spay on Wednesday and then I will take them to their forever home! 💗

Jasper was adopted today and we have another meet and greet tomorrow! I cannot believe we started with a group of 7 kittens! Thank you to all of our adopters. We are so happy our kittens have found loving homes.

Oliver and Sprout went to their forever homes today. Tomorrow and Saturday, we have potential adopters coming by to visit with the remaining kittens. 🤞 we are so excited for these babies to find their families.

Thank you to those who supported our fundraiser and donated towards the kitten’s surgeries today! We raised $70 from the fundraiser through bonfire, which brought our donation total up to $431. Our invoice today at Mountain View was $586.00. I am so appreciative of everyone who shared and donated. We seriously could not have accomplished this without you. 💗
All of the kittens did great today and I can’t wait to get them home! Two kittens (Oliver and Sprout) go to their new homes tomorrow 🥹

Shocked that Ellie hasn’t had any serious adopters. She is the cutest little kitten. She loves treats, toys, and cuddles. She does great with other cats and is very curious about dogs. She has not shown any fear of anything. She is literally perfect 😍

Update #2- we are still in need of $219 for the boys tomorrow, but Ellie’s spay/vaccines is sponsored 💗
Tomorrow is the big day for 5 of our kittens! The kittens will be neutered ($75), received FVRCP ($17) and rabies ($17) vaccines and be FIV/FeLV ($10) tested. Each kitten will cost $116. If you’d like to sponsor a kittens surgery, vaccines, FIV/FeLV test, etc please comment/message me or use one of the options listed below. Even $5 would help tremendously. The rescue has received very few donations and we (Mary and James) been paying for almost everything ourselves (food, medical care, litter, etc). We would greatly appreciate the support in order to continue helping the animals in our community.

Bitter sweet evening saying our final goodbye to Winter. I am so happy we were able to offer her family the option to adopt her back after her treatment was complete and she was spayed and fully vaccinated. Winter’s amazing teenage owner has kept in touch every step of the way. I have no doubt that she’s going to be so happy to have her back home 💗

Our fundraiser ends tonight at midnight. We have raised $61 so far. In a few weeks, we will be taking 5 kittens (previously taking 4) for neuter and vaccines. This appointment will cost us around $500. Please consider donating (Venmo, PayPal, cash, check) or supporting our fundraiser so we can continue taking in and helping more and more animals. Unfortunately, we cannot continue to take in so many animals without funds.
