Dolly passed away in November of 2022. In November of 2023 we adopted another female puppy German Shepherd named Dixie Rose Benton. We hope you enjoy Dixie as much as you loved Dolly.

A young man’s girl gets pregnant and as a man of responsibility and integrity he marries her, only to go off to fight in the War Between the States a week later. Surviving the war, he returns home, buys land as a settler, only to be confronted by a land grabber who claims the land. Thad owns the deed. Tonight our dear sweet Dolly Hope Benton went too Doggie Heaven. She was 13 years old and had been suffering a few months with hip problems and some other heath issues with older dogs. She died peacefully at home. She was loved by her Daddy Gary Benton, aka W. R. Benton and Momma actress Melanie Calvert Benton
