I finally got a good weekend to try out the new Muli-Gaiters. 10/10 This was a great opportunity because we recently had some failures that I needed to troubleshoot.
My saddlehorse had begun to demonstrate a twisted boot often when we would be in slippery uphill conditions while we have no problem when things are dry. She's in between mud strap sizes on this hoof so we change between them when the weather is realy wet(swollen hoof) and its late in the cycle.
So this weekend we rode at elkins creek after 4 days of rain! The mud was incredible, maybe the stickest, deep, clay mud that I have riden in the hills. I attached a video showing how i set them up and some of the mud, but honestly I didn't get the worst of it on camera because my hands were a bit busy with my silly mule! 🤣😂 so we rode with the multi gaiters on 8 miles on the kimble loop with ZERO failures , and this is exactly the type of terrain +wet that would bring us issues before.
