We are a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group, serving homeless animals in our community since 1993.

The dog's owner has been located, thank you all for your assistance!

Once again we are calling on our Facebook friends to assist us in locating a dog owner. On Saturday, October 28, 2023 at around 3:00 pm the below pictured dog was turned over to the City of Peekskill Police Department by a good Samaritan who found him running loose on the 500 block of Smith Street. No tags or collar. So far we have been unable to locate the owner. The dog is currently at Police Headquarters. If anyone recognizes the dog or knows the owner please have them contact the Police Department as soon as possible (914) 737-8000.

Meet “Noma” (aka Mama, aka Winnie)!!!!!
We nicknamed Winnie “Noma” because she is one nosey mama! Found back in July with her 3 babies in a window well behind a bar in Peekskill, Noma took very good care of her babies, all of whom have been adopted and now she waits patiently for her forever home. She is approximately 1-1.5 years old, tested negative for FIV/Felv, up to date on shots and now spayed! She is sweet and is just starting to be able to be a kitten herself - (did we mention she is VERY nosey?) She always has to know what is going on. She loves to be brushed, LOVES her food and treats and loves to try to catch “bugs” (aka dust bunnies floating in the air) – we are pretty certain she does not like dogs and is not crazy about other cats (it has been hard to tell because in the beginning, we didn’t want to stress her out with her babies, then we didn’t want to stress her when she was in heat/missing her babies and now we don’t want to stress her as she recovers from her spay), but through all this she has been sweet and chill...and nosey!

Did you know; today is International Cat Day!!
The day was started by the International Fund for Animal Welfare in 2002, and since then it has become an annual celebration. International Cat Day is a means through which the animal rights organization promotes the needs and wants of cats.
What do you do to celebrate International Cat Day?
- Spend extra quality time with your feline friend - perhaps playing their favorite games or try something new.
- Be inventive and create a new game that will encourage their natural curiosity, like a new cardboard box for them to explore, or hiding treats for them to find.
- Curl up on the sofa and give your cat extra ‘me’ time and stroke them gently around the ears (or their their favorite spot)!
- Spend time at your local cat sanctuary helping to look after other feline friends
