NEW SATURN VIDEO - IT'S HER TURN!
Saturn, is our beloved 3 year old, long term resident who is still looking for her forever home! Weighing in at 53 pounds, this beautiful pup is a loyal and loving companion who has been going through training to become the best version of herself! We have loved seeing her progress!
She prefers the company of humans, so will need to be the only pet in the home. Honestly, she would've easily been adopted by staff or volunteers, as she is a favorite around here, but we all have other pets. She is kid friendly too! Saturn is protective of those she loves so doesn't like a lot of unfamiliar people coming and going. The simplest solution would be to put her in another room when company comes but a calmer household without a lot of company might be best for her. Saturn is fully housetrained!
To ensure that Saturn transitions smoothly into her new home, additional training will be offered as well. Each time we post about her, we are hopeful that it will finally be seen by the right eyes. So, would those eyes belong to you? If yes, come meet her daily from 9 to 3:30 except Wednesdays and Sundays. Her fee is $25.

AWESOME DOG ALERT: LULU
Our girl, LULU, has been with us for a while which is so surprising since she is just about the easiest dog ever! She is 2 years old and 67 pounds, and has the role of "couch cuddler" all figured out! The volunteers love to walk her because she is not just easy on the leash, but she is sweet, affectionate, and great with kids too! LULU is dog friendly and especially loves the boys! (We are told she likes to chase cats though.) She has been lucky to spend time with an experienced foster, so we also know LULU does well in a home setting. She is housetrained and is capable of being a perfect lady when left home alone! She is so stinkin' cute too, but we will let the video show you that!
LULU has a reduced promotional adoption fee of $35 through August which will include her spay surgery and vaccinations. We are looking for an indoor home only for her. If a potential adopter already has a dog, we will require an on site 'meet & greet' to assure compatibility. You may see her between 9 and 3:30 daily, except Wednesdays and Sundays. ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT:
Dynamic Duo, Gunner and Gauge, have been with us for a couple of months following the death of their owner. They are both young -- Gunner is 2 (95 pounds) and Gauge is 1 (66 pounds). They are friendly to people of all ages, but while they get along great together, Gunner does not like the other dogs or cats here. We are not sure how Gauge would be with other dogs as that has not been evaluated, although a limited evaluation with cats showed him to be uninterested in the ones in kennels. Gunner loves our outdoor doggie pool and one of our volunteers has ordered one to go home with him!! Gunner walks easy on the leash, and we have a special collar that helps with leash walking Gauge. We will be sending that special collar with Gauge, and both will be leaving with new clip leashes and benebones, also compliments of our great volunteers! We so hope to see them adopted together, if that special person or family is out there, but will adopt separately if need be. The adoption fee for both together is just $40 through July, as part of our "Pittie Party" promotion, or $35 for either alone. This will include neuter surgery (Gauge's will be scheduled, Gunner's is done) and vaccinations.
