Simparica TRIO
We now offer Simparica TRIO!! This is your ALL IN ONE monthly preventative! It protects against heartworms, fleas, ticks, roundworms and hookworms. Even better is it is safe for puppies as young as 8 weeks.
We couldn’t resist this one. It sure made our day. Hope it gives us all the drive to keep going and find ways to overcome the obstacles we are facing!
For those that may not know, we are a mixed animal practice. That means we see more than cats and dogs. Yes, that includes chickens 🤣
Viewer discretion advised‼️ THIS is why we urge everyone to keep their pets on heartworm prevention.
**shared from another clinic with permission**
“There are stages of infestation. This is like stage 4, life threatening, only thing they can do to save the pet is to remove the adult worms. Stage 4 is characterized by caval syndrome. The pet goes into shock and collapses thus the need for emergency removal of heartworm. This dog will still go through immiticide treatment. She had a heart blockage from the glob of worms and without treatment would maybe have lived another day or two. She wouldn’t have made it long enough for her first immiticide injection in the state she was in. She made it through surgery and headed out to her foster home.”
Did you know birds can get a condition called Bumblefoot? It is a common problem for birds kept in captivity such as chickens and ducks. It is a bacterial infection affecting the bottom of the feet causing a hard, puss filled abscess. As the severity increases, so does the pain causing the bird to become reluctant to walk. We recently had a patient come in with Bumblefoot. The abscess was lacerated, drained, cleaned and antibiotics given.
Clocking out of work like…
Jetson is singing the blues after his castration. This sweet boy, once a stray, is one step closer to a forever home though!
And here’s a peak inside‼️
If you haven’t had a chance to see us after dark, here’s a peak 🎄
A huge congratulations to Mrs. Stacey McCrory and Daisy on their success at the 2021 NBHA world championships! Not only is it an accomplishment itself qualifying for the world championships, but Mrs. Stacey and Daisy won first place in the 4D senior 1st round along with placing in 5D sidepot! They also were finalists in both the 4D and 5D world championships! Dr. McCurdy really enjoys working with the McCrorys and assisting with any of their equine needs on their farm, from lameness to breeding, and everything in between. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN, WE ARE SO PROUD OF YA’LL!
Our goal is to get each patient seen at their scheduled time. Please be patient with us as instances such as these do happen. Unfortunately, we have emergencies walk-in such as pets being ran over, those who have gotten into poison, pets who have been shot just to name a few. We greatly appreciate everyone’s understanding during these times ❤️ (not our video)
