HOSPICE FOUND! Thank you to all the kind souls who offered to help this boy. He had a huge outpouring of love! He left the vet today and is cozy in his foster home. Pics in new upcoming post.

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED: NYC - NJ - CT Area. Wiz is likely terminally ill. We fear that Wiz to die in a cage at the vet clinic where he’s currently hospitalized. He is getting the best care, but anemia can take a turn for the worse. We urgently need a foster so that he can live his remaining life in a loving home. We have done everything possible for him, including 5 blood transfusions, and he’s not responding to treatment. He remains stable and is eating and acting like a normal kitty, but he’s severely anemic which will eventually take its course. We rescued Max, a five-month-old Maltipoo, from the shelter Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) in Queens today and this sweet boy needs surgery for a broken leg. He was brought into the shelter after his owner accidentally stepped on his leg and broke it. He is scheduled for surgery Friday and estimate is $3,800. We need a Christmas miracle for Max! DOG OF THE DAY! Chilly!

Hi everybody I'm Chilly! I'm a 5-year-old female bully mix. I tested well with other dogs and I was non-reactive in the cat room. I came to BAC in rough shape, and they soon determined that I had untreated hypothyroidism. Now that I've started treatment, I'm on my way to losing the extra weight and getting my glow back! None of this has slowed me down- I charmed the vet, I charmed the ACOs, and I'll charm you too! Apply for me today!

Kennels are open Monday-Saturday 11-3:30 pm. Adoptions are still taking place BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, so we recommend coming to the kennels to view the animals only if you are planning to fill out an application. You MUST include proof of home ownership or notarized letter from your landlord WITH your application to be considered. Applications will be reviewed and pre-approved for a subsequent meet and greet/adoption appointment.
