We have just taken in a little bay filly. Her folks had passed away and she was alone in a small pasture. The family tried to maintain her but with no one living on the property it became very difficult. Belle is approx 20 y.o. and appears to have foundered and needs to put on some weight, especially in this colder weather. We will have the vet and farrier out to update her shots, check her teeth and determine the best way to treat the founder.

We had to say goodbye to our senior 30 y.o. Saddlebred today. We had been fighting weight loss and FWS for the last month or two. He loved roaming around our front yard eating grass that the other rescues did not have access to. He seemed to enjoy that freedom, but would willingly follow me back to the pasture at night. Jack our donkey was his best friend and is vocally letting us know he misses him already.

Took some work to arrange the horses so they are all dry and safe from this winter storm.

As a reward had lots of fun sledding in the pasture😃

You can always make donations for hay and feed, especially for these snowy and cold days that require extra feeding for warmth.

$15 will give us a 50lb bag of feed.
$8 will get one square bale of hay.
