Thanks to everyone who joined me during “Sourdough- the starting point”. My first hands on class to learn how to make a loaf of Sourdough Artisan Bread. I had a great time sharing my experience with sourdough and sending home some new bakers. Soon I’ll post information on the October class.

We are still open for blueberry picking and We’ve never done this before! This weekend, July 20/21, all Farm Shop products are 25% off! Including honey and oils! Remember Saturday is Sourdough Day. Open 8 to 5.

Green and mint tea sports drink

Boil 1 quart of water and add four green tea teabags and two mint teabags. Remove from the heat and cover tea for two hours. Pour tea concentrate into glass jar, cover and store in refrigerator.
To a 1 quart glass jar add:
2 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup green mint tea concentrate
1/8 of a teaspoon of salt
3 to4 tablespoons of honey
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
Shake well to dissolve the honey. I like mine with a basil sprig.

100% sealed! Tip: store jars with the ring off. This way you can quickly glance at your canned goods to be sure stored jars have maintained their seal. If the ring is holding down the lid, you would not be able to tell if it’s been compromised.
