My local fish club, the Northwest Ohio Aquarium Society, had their Christmas party this past Sunday. We played fishy bingo with a lot of great fish and other prizes up for grabs, including a bunch of live plants from Florida Aquatic Nursery, a Fluvial flex tank kit, fish including plecos, discus, live bearers and corydoras catfish.

A couple of the Burundi frontosa that I got at the OCA extravaganza auction. They've done great through quarantine and eating great, I can't wait to grow these guys out and one day spawn them.

Crypt pink flamingo plants I have growing out. First one is emersed grown I got from Agnoquatics and converted, last three are from a tissue culture pack, I divided into three different tanks to see what they grow best in.

Feeding some liquid gold AKA live baby brine shrimp to my fishes today. I've started hatching BBS regularly and feeding to all the fish in the fish room, even the larger fish go crazy for it. I love using the Ziss brine shrimp hatcher and eggs from Aquarium Co-op.

Corydoras sp CW097 got an F1 group of these at the OCA Extravaganza this past weekend from the corydoras and pleco master, Eric Bodrock. I like the small spot on their sides similar to the gold lasers.

Was feeding my fish and found this stalk that my red ozelot sword shot up overnight, it looks like it has flowers on it. This is first time over had a sword flower in one of my tanks.

I decided today to move my PRL crystal red shrimp into their new tank and found some little shrimplets. Now to get them grown and breeding as well to increase colony size.

I've been feeding my corydoras weitzmani frozen bloodworms brine shrimp and live blackworms for the last week or two, did a large water change yesterday with cooler water and threw in a spawning mop and checked it, and there's eggs! Hopefully they're viable and will have some fry soon.

Did some work in the fishroom, moving some fish around to make room for some fish coming in Friday. While cleaning one of the tanks, I found some ba y Aspidoras spilotus! Always nice to find babies of a fish you hadn't even tried to get to spawn.

Tried my hand at breeding longfin cherry barbs, set up a breeding tank for them with spawning mops on the bottom and one floating. Unfortunately, I lost my only male after a few days because he decided it looked better on the other side of the glass, so I figured I was out of luck. I caught the two females out, put them back in the tank they had been in and left everything. Yesterday, I happened to look in the tank and lo and behold there was fry swimming around! I counted at least 8 swimming, so I hurried up and put some microworms in and they were going to town chasing and eating them. Hopefully there will be a male or two so I can pick this breeding project back up later this year.

First spawn of the year in the fishroom, some albino bristlenose plecos. Also have some eggs incubating from gardneri killifish.

Spending some time in the fish room this afternoon getting some stuff done. Did water changes on a few tanks since there's a big front coming through tonight, hoping it will get the fish in the spawning mood, and used RO water in the leopoldi angels, weitzmani cories, and L333 plecos. Hopefully bringing the TDS down, cooler water, and the front coming through will trigger some activity. Also, pulled some eggs out of a spawning mop in the gardneri killifish tank, I've never kept killies before, so excited to try hatching and raising some.

Set up at the back road reptile and exotics expo in Findlay today. I have some shrimp, plecos, guppies, plants and some shrimp and plant supplies. Expo is 10-4 address is 1400 Sixth St in Findlay.
