Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue We are a foster based dedicated Animal Rescue organization based in Pembroke, MA. We exist to rescue and re-home dogs that would not have a chance otherwise.

Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization based in Pembroke, MA. We are NOT a shelter facility and rely solely on the backbone of our rescue which is fosters and volunteers. We are the voice for the voiceless. We take pride in educating the public on rescue dogs and the spay/neuter crisis in the south. We pull animals from McNairy Humane Society in TN. Each

year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats). Our end goal is the same of many other rescues to provide a furever happy home to our animals. We pull animals from McNairy Humane Society in TN!

Wednesday is having surgery on Tuesday. She cannot wait any longer as she is having difficulty walking. For an 8 mo-old puppy. This is torture. οΏΌ

Wednesday has a Grade 4 luxated patella. This means that her kneecap is constantly sliding and popping out of place, which is causing dislocation. It is extremely painful for her.

We need to raise $5,100.

Lucy is working on her manners and leash training. She loves everyone who walks in the door. Lucy recently attended one of our events at Widowmaker Brewing and did great! She was such a well-behaved lady. Lucy girl loves her crate and playing with the resident dog. She is a smart and playful puppy who is willing to learn.

We are a 501(C)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization, based out of Pembroke, MA. We rely solely on the backbone of our rescue, which is our fosters and volunteers.

We provide shelter, medical care, behavioral training, spay & neuter assistance, owner assistance programs, education and the opportunity for more than 250+ animals to find loving homes each year. We provide support to communities and families through our broad range of programs and services, which include our food drives for low-income families that work directly with local food pantries. We find that most families will feed their pets before feeding themselves.

We provide behavioral dogs with a second chance of rehabilitation. Every dog deserves a chance to thrive. We work directly with our own trainer to help these dogs. We go to bat for the dogs that are shut down, broken and need some extra TLC.

Every dollar raised through our partnership program will continue our life-saving work as we are 100% volunteer based and rely on funding from our local community partners and friends. Chappo has been doing so good in his foster home!

We had received several screenshots of a post from Lilly the Hero Pit Bull about Chappo. We inquired and offered a lending hand and now we need your help.

Chappo was used for breeding. He did not live an easy life. He lived outside a majority of his life and did constant work, (photos below). Potty training was a bit of a challenge.

Chappo is now in a very loving foster home. He will live out his days in comfort surrounded by people who love him. He will know nothing but kindness.

Chappo has really bad teeth and he is in pain. The pain you have when you have a nerve exposed? Thats what he feels right now. He also needs to be neutered. We are looking at $1,559.60 and could really use the help due to the mound of vet bills we have.

We haven’t posted Simba in a while. He is now in a foster home but really want a place to call his forever home. He has been waiting for his human for over a year.

Thus far he’s doing great. His mom walks him anywhere from 2-5 miles a day which significantly helps his anxiety. She also keeps up with his medication and basic obedience.

His future permanent home….
No small kids? Fenced yard? Adventurer? No dogs?

Simba is a 2-yr old, French Mastiff, Pit mix, but huge, handsome, lovable smoosh fits him too.

Simba is a super goofy dog who loves to play with his squeaky toys. He loves his adult people, and he always wants attention from his human friends.

Simba has a lot of puppy attitudes still. You get the puppy energy, but he’s crate and potty trained! He loves to do his training and will work even for his plain kibble!

He is a rockstar for the vet, good in the tub and lets us cut his toenails! He is going to make someone a great pup! Simba is a high energy boy so NO small childrenβ€” he’s not sure how big he is when he’s zooming around, and he easily gets over stimulated.

Simba does experience separation anxiety and easily gets over stimulated. He does require an experienced handler. Simba plays well with other dogs as long as there are no resources involved.

Utah is going in for emergency surgery. He has been sick for the past few days and we chalked it up to an upset stomach due to a virus. We gave him bland food and probiotics. He also got some fluid via IV as he was dehydrated.

Today, Utah was certainly not acting like himself and gave us concern to get him in for an emergency appointment. Upon x-rays, there is something in his intestine, but they cannot see what it is. We gave them the greenlight to do an exploratory to see if we can figure out what is causing him pain.

Right now we are looking at 4K. οΏΌAny donation amount would be most greatly appreciated!!

They have 56 dogs, and they are euthanizing as I type.
This is a human problem. A spay and neuter problem.
We need fosters and we need them NOW to pull these dogs, so their lives are not lost.

Bennett a 1-year-old Doodle, dog friendly and HW negative. Super sweet and friendly.

Meatloaf brindle and Hoagie black are just babies. They are 5 months old and just starting life. Great with other dogs and people.

Romana and Beezus– White Pitty puppies – 5 Months – Great with other dogs and love people.

Henry is a super sweet boy. He would rather sit in your lap for affection than anything else. He is a snuggle butt. Henry plays ball and enjoys playing sigh his human friends. He takes treats so gently.

Henry is crate trained and potty trained. We are asking for an older children home. Henry can get over stimulated but calms right down when asked.

Simba woke up not feeling so great. He is not applying pressure to his back right leg. We got a quick appointment with our vet for today at 3pm. We are truly hoping it is nothing serious and maybe just a sprain. Any help with his vet bill would be greatly appreciated. buddyandfriendsma.org/donate
